Q:I have a t-mobile phone and a plan. But i'm only a year into my contract. I don't want to change the plan but i want to change the phone. I was wondering if i can buy the phone i want from t-mobile which is a SIDEKICK LX- carbon. and just insert my SIM CARD into it and use it. Will it work if i just put my SIM card into it? and will i be able to access the network AIM. i don't need anything else. i just want to be able to receive and send calls and log into AIM, keep the same phone number and listen to my music thats it. can someone help me out plz. Q:Are unlocked mobile phones (of the same model) more expensive than mobile phones that are not unlocked?: yes, typically. unlocked phones can be used with pretty much any sim card as long as it works with the GSM. locked phones only work for one carrier. i.e verizon, sprint, etc. example, a sidekick might cost $50 with a 2 year plan yet it would cost probably around $150-200 to buy it unlocked.

I bought the phone. Before opening the box, i looked for the reviews of the phone, which were mostly negative. So, I decided to sell it. I took it to THE MOBILE STORE who declined the offer. On asking, they told me that they themselves get the phone from motorola for 5500 and sell it to the customers for 10000. That means a profit for Rs.4500! Q:Hey, I'm having a problem with my new cell phone. I just got it a few days ago, it's a Virgin Mobile TNT model, also known as Kyocera Adreno S2400. The screen has gone black. The battery is fully charged, and the phone actually seems to still be on, since it's making sounds upon opening and closing. Hitting/holding the end button to turn it on or off produces no response. So basically right now, rather than having a cell phone I have a little box that makes noises when I open and close it. I decided to hold the power button in for a few seconds so it would shut off (yes, I know it's hard to tell because the screen is black). I waited a few minutes and turned it back on and it was fine. If this doesn't work, try removing the battery and putting it back in. Also, I know through the Virgin Mobile website and most stores you buy the phones at, have a 30 day guarantee, so if all else fails, return the phone.

You would need to call T-Mobile customer care and ask them. They are really nice and easy to get answers from. You can buy phones at the store but, you will likely have to pay retail which is way expensive up front but, you won't be stuck in a new contract if yours is already up. Isn't it tooo much?: I absolutely think it is too much -- a 4th grader should never be alone long enough to need a cell phone even for an emergency.
