- Q: My husband & I are adding a bathroom to our basement. We don't have TONS of space, but have found the shower & toilet that will work (both are white).We like some of the modern styled vanities but are finding them to be ridiculously expensive $2200 - $2800 for the sink & vanity. We don't need to go dirt cheap, but we think more than $1,500 is just nuts.We actually need to keep the vanity to no more than 31 inches wide so we aren't looking for anything too big.Does anyone know of websites or brands we could check out that have bathroom sinks & vanities that are nicer than the off the shelf Home Depot & OKorders products but aren't $2grand plus?
- Check out the vanities on the website below as they have many different styles of small bathroom vanities that have the counter tops included. In the second link, is a photo of one I bought at Home Depot (special order I think) for about $400. Kohler Archer ?Petite Vanity, in Black Forest with matching sink top. It does have two drawers, with the pipes exposed in the middle, and measures 24' wide by 20' deep.
- Q: We are building a new house and I am fighting with my husband about the kids bathroom. I want to use a tool box for the vanity so that htey have all the drawers for earrings and make up. I think it sounds cool I want to put the sink sitting on top but do not know how to do this with the pipes and not lose drawer space Any Ideas would be great
- I have a friend who has done this already, He bought one of the toolboxes with a side cabinet and mounted the sink on that part of the box and then put the custom top overall of it. Then you have all your main drawers for storage. He did it in a bathroom off of his garage. It was really cool and looked great.
- Q: So I hate the vanity that I have right now in the bathroom that I share with my foster sister because it has cabinet doors instead of pull out drawers.Because there is two of us thats twice as much stuff so the storage under our sink is very crowded and messy. - Pier a million and value plus the two have fairly furniture products that would desire to actual be switched over to a vessel sink. i know we did it. the unmarried best price often is the sink and furniture. look at Pacific sales, and abode Depot Expo for the vessels sinks. yet despite you hit upon which you like, Pacific sales will beat the value. yet in addition look at coverting ornamental bowls (fairly the steel ones) because of the fact many may be bored out to accomodate the drain.
- Q: Need some help with placement. How far from the back wall do you place recessed lights? I think I have them spaced right just unsure of how far back. My vanity counter will be 73.5" long. Installing (3) 3" 50 watt lights over the vanity. I pretty much decided to put one light on center 36.75" from side wall and the other two 18" to each side. Does that sound good? But, how far from the back wall? I would like the light to wash down the wall and reflect the light as well. I know I will need to find some other wall sconce lights for around the mirror but would like to make correct decision on the recessed for now
- You haven't stated if the lights you are using are directional or not...I don't know the placement and would guess maybe the same as kitchen lighting which would put them just behind the counter..I am not sure..they might be better over the vanity more though because of shadows..check with an electrician for placement..I don't have this in my bathrooms..just one over the tub and in the showers, with a regular ceiling light and vanity lights. Can't say I have seen this.
