- Q: I have this bathroom vanity light that was given to me by dads friend who owns a lighting company. It is a really nice lighting fixture that attaches to my bathroom mirror. There is one problem I have with it one of bulbs broke the glass piece that covers it. I think what happened was the bulb got so hot that it broke it. I glued but back but the heat from the bulb burned the glue and now the whole lighting fixture looks like crap and I want to replace it, however I am not sure what type of lighting fixture will attach to the mirror. Is there something special I have to look for. Any help Thanks
- Are you saying the old fixture replaced into no longer linked to the copper floor cord on your electric feed, or that there is not any copper floor cord interior the feed? If the former, connect the copper cord to the hot fixture. If the fixture would not have a floor cord, screw the floor to a metallic area of the fixture. If the later, you definitely could improve the feed cord to contain a floor.
- Q: In my master bathroom (attached to master bedroom) I have vanity lights (only lighting in the bathroom), a fan, and one outlet. The fan and the vanity lights are separate units. Last night, there was a thunderstorm and lightning, but given the circumstances, I dont think its causing my problem. Last night, I turned off my lights and fan, and when I attempted to turn them on again, they did not work. The outlet, which I believe would be connected to the same power source as the lights and fan, does work. I attempted to switch all the circuit breakers on and off to no avail. FYI the circuit breaker is for the entire master bedroom, or at least labeled as so; so I would assume it encompasses the master bathroom as well. My guess would be it should be related to the switch, since it is related only to the lights and fan, and not the sole outlet. Can anybody else think of any other possibilities or suggestions what to do?
- Due to lightning the fan & lights are not working. Call an electrician & your problem will be solved.
- Q: I am looking to buy a 42 inch vanity for my bathroom. Home depot and Lowes dont have them readily available and special order takes a lot of money (more than $600). Is there any place other than Home depot and Lowes that may have 42 inch vanity at reasonable prices? I live in northern Virginia.

- Q: We bought a vanity set from Home Depot for our bathroom. It came with the base (vanity) and a counter/sink piece to sit on top. We don't see anyway to secure the counter to the vanity. It just sits there. But it rocks a little actually. Seems like it should stay in place somehow other than because the faucet is attached to the plumbing. How do we do this? It didn't come with any pieces, and maybe it should have come with directions we don't have.Thanks
- i place about an inch of caulk at all four corners, if you ever need to take if off it would be almost impossible if you caulk the entire edges. other than that its just the weight of it that keeps it in place. (the vanity cabinet should be attached to the wall with screws) place the vanity top in place, do not push down too hard or all the caulk will be pressed out and it could still rock a little. caulk around where the vanity top meets the wall to keep out water.

- Try oven cleaner. Leave it on for about 15 min. Then wipe it off.
- Q: My dog decided to chew off a corner of our bathroom vanity, which is made out of particle board. I am checking to see if it's possible to repair the cabinet. Would wood putty or some other substance work to recreate the corner edge? If you have any ideas for how to repair or replace particle board, I'd be grateful!The other option, of course, is to buy a new vanity and replace it ourselves. - Be careful, yes you can do it but a bathroom gets a lot of moisture and if it isn't done perfectly it will look bad real soon.Think about re laminating it yourself there are tons of colors to chose from and it might cost less then painting it.
