Q: Hi, i have Acer 3830TG This laptop is amazing performance wise and also battery wise but only one disadvantage that is quite crucial to my purpose of use is the built-in battery.I often use the laptop to play high performance required games for an extended period of time and this is done while being chargedI found out that constantly fully charged battery will not last long Is there a way to be on AC power and not charge the battery, (laptop only running on ac power and battery is disabled) thanks in advance
you can't do that
Q: First off, I hope I am in the right place to ask this question, I don't really know where to go for help for this.To start, I am trying to make a portable battery to charge USB devices. So a 5 volt output. I am trying to do it cheaply, under 20 bucks. I have a bunch of laptop batteries laying around and no laptops to use them in. The one I am looking at using is a toshiba PA3383U-1BRS, It is a 14.8v 6450mAh battery. the cells inside are 12 of these -- SF US18650GR. I want to know how or if I can re arrange the cells to get the most battery life out of it. I dont know how it would be charged, what protection/charging circuts would be needed or anything like that. I know next to nothing about how this all works but my common sense says that it would be better to get the output of the pack as close to 5v as possible before doing anything with voltage regulators, to keep it efficient. Let me know what I have to do/ what I cant do/ why I am wrong/ if you need more info etc. thanks a ton guys!
The biggest problem is charging. Charging a Li battery is a complicated process, with several steps that require knowledge of the chemistry, the voltage, the temperature. You really need a charger designed for that specific battery. If you rearrange the cells, then the charger won't work correctly anymore. .
Q: I took apart a dead Roomba Battery pack to see if I could replace a few cells and found that one of the battery's polarity had switched from negative to positive. I've never seen this. Luckily it was at a very low charge. Do you know how to reverse polarity on a NiMH battery so I can reuse it? Or am I out of luck?

Q: I have an old rc car that I'd like to use. Unfortunately I lost the charger for the (12v, 700 mAh, 10 cell, 5X2 AA) battery packI was trying to look for a charger but they all had two pins (black and red). This battery pack has three pins (blue black red). Would a 2 pin charger work for this 3 pin battery pack?(I don't want to buy a new battery pack since the connector on the car is also 3 pins. Thanks in advance !
Yes, it works but you need to figure it out the correct connection. To charge battery, it just needs two terminals.
Q: If I go oversees this summer to Kenya, I heard that they don't have the same voltage or something- so i can't charge my battery pack, so it would be easier to buy AA batteries instead and carry them there but when I return i just want to be able to use a battery pack. Can I have a camera that does both and is not that expensive?
Using rechargeable batteries with a digital camera is quite easy and common, even for those who travel overseas. Unfortunately, there are no common cameras, if any, which run on both AA batteries and also its own battery pack. However, using rechargeable is a great way to go. To go with any AA battery camera, you can purchase a set of Ni-MH batteries which come with 2 or 4 AA batteries (two to have in the camera, two as a backup). Most modern battery chargers accept ALL voltages - they only need a plug adapter to work in oversea countries, such as in Kenya. Both Energizer and Duracell make good battery chargers with universal voltage input, and these are bundled with AA batteries. These chargers are not large (they are travel-sized, actually) and cost $20 to $30 dollars, depending on the store. I hope this helps!
Q: When is the middle of the battery to add the dotted line? What is the battery pack of two batteries?
The middle of the dotted line that more than two batteries or do not know how many batteries.
Q: How do you charge your 360 controller battery pack? It didnt come with a cord or anything?
If you have the usb Cable charger You can just plug it in to that I have the dual pack charger . Other than buying rechargable batteries and use those are basicly your options
Q: I want to power six devices which take one CR2032 (or 2 CR2016) with either one 18V battery pack or with two 9V batteries. Is it possible and if so how?

Q: I'm considering the Sony DSC W80 digital camera. It contains the Sony's NP-BG1 recharableable Li-ion battery pack. I am glad it comes with a battery pack that lasts longer than a standard 2xAA but:1. What is the lifetime of such a battery pack? How many reuses can i get out of it? 2. Are such Li-ion batteries or specially this Sony pack decent? Should i purchase a second battery pack and leave it on the shelf for a year when the 1st pack dies?
I wouldn't bother buying a second battery at this stage, because the battery that comes supplied with it will allow up to 340 shots per charge (which is a lot more than what other batteries provide). I'm not sure of how many times a battery can be charged, but it would be quite a large number of times. However, the real downside to this battery, is that it takes a very long 4.5 hours to fully charge it. But, you CAN buy a 1.5 hour, fast charger (which is an extra and expensive cost). Another very clever marketing idea from Sony, of course. If I were you, I would just use the one battery and takes steps to conserve it's life by turning off the LCD screen in-between shots, limit how long you review your images, and also limit your use of the flash. You can also turn off the LCD and use the viewfinder instead to compose your shots. Doing this, will give you lots more battery life. And make sure you give the battery a top up charge as often as possible. You don't have to wait for the battery to fully drain before you re-charge it.
