Thanks: The glue will only work for the intended piping system. A shark bite fitting will transition from PEX to CPVC to copper. It is a brass fitting, that pushes on to the end of any of these pipes, and once on, will hold leak free. If you need to remove the fitting, there is a small tool, that when used, will remove the fitting in order to access the system, or to reconnect a different type of pipe. There are now more companies bringing their version of these fittings, that can't be removed. Good luck!

Thankyou :D x x: Joan, there are a couple things you can do..1 goto home depot and get you a drywall saw then to the plumbing dept get you what is called snap in wall panel. cut you a hole to match your new wall panel in your drywall and now you can get to the fittings it is not unusual for the fittings to leak due to cross threading or incorrectly using the telfon tape on the threads but you are better off just to replace the pvc fitting But make sure it is pvc not cpvc and I would think it is cpvc cut your fitting off and go back to home depot and they can tell you what you have and get you the correct fitting and use fresh glue and the best is All in One and is yellow for cpvc once all of this is done just snap your panel in the hole you cut and paint or wall paper over it.
