- Q: What is better brick patio or cement patio(ie cleaning it,cost)?
- Cement cleans easier than brick. It is contemporary and can be painted or mixed in many colors. Brick looks richer more exotic, more adaptable (Mexican, Mediteranean, South Western or even country) I like them both. Your accessories could make either one enviable.
- Q: i am plastering my new home...what is minimum water curing time for new cement based plaster
- True cement/ concrete takes at least 28 days for full cure. If you are talking about interior plaster... the full cure can take anywhere from a few hours to a week... depending on drying conditions.
- Q: we are interesting in using larger travertine tile
- use latex modified thinset morter and an underlay called ditra bond the ditra to the patio and the tile to the ditra this is for independent movement for both I'm not sure about using travertine as a patio its one of the softer natural stone and pores
- Q: Price of laying cement?
- the national average for placing formwork is about $0.95 per linear foot and the average for placing an finishing is about $0.40 per square foot. Concrete NOT included. So a 10' x 10' concrete slab would cost about $40 to form and about $40 to place and finish and would require about 3 cubic yards of concrete at about $100 per cubic yard. Most of the time there is a min. of 5 cu. yard purchase and a finishing company will have a min. charge of about $400 if the job is under 400 sq. ft. This is a ROUGH idea
- Q: im looking to get true blue Jordan cements but i want to know were to get them, and if there is a difference? thanks to everyone! :)
- The only Jordans that have cement are the III's and the IV's (3's and 4's), and only the 3's have a True Blue colorway, so yes, they should be the same. Typically you can find a pair on eBay. I would also suggest staying away from other websites that sell Jordans, as most are typically fake.
- Q: please i need advantages and dissadvantages, like how carbide is more expensive, and how high speed steel is resharpable.also a website for references would be nice, thanx in advance.
- Generally, cemented carbide is harder than high speed steel. To last the longest and provide the best cuts It also requires different rake angles relative to the material being cut. A negative rake angle is better with cemented carbide cutting tools and a positive rake angle is better for high speed cutting tools. The material being machined is also a factor in the best rake angle.
- Q: What percent of garnet is in cement?
- There shouldn't be any garnet in cement. Portland cement (the most common one) is a mixture of roasted limestone, clay and gypsum. None of these rocks normally contain garnets.
- Q: I am putting tile on the wall in my bathroom (not in the shower), do i have to put cement board behind it?or can i just leave the drywall that is already there?
- How To Install Cement Board On Walls
- Q: whats the risk of having a house on a cement slab? what are the positives and the negatives? and how long do they last? ?
- Alot of homes are built on cement slabs in the coastal areas where we have as much sand as dirt...you have the same settlement issues as one with a crawl space. One of the big negatives is that none of the air handling components can be under the crawl space. We've had cement slabs for the last 4 houses we've owned and I love it. There is less settling overall and not as much echo to the floors. They last forever!!
- Q: I am renovating a house and need to remove some cement/plaster. I do not want to break it off or saw it away. I have tried vinegar, hot water, olive oil. Is there any way to soften cement/plaster that has set?
- once it has set you will have to either break it or maybe try some corrosive chemicals such as hydrochloric acid im sorry that im currently under a mind blank so thats all i can think of but there are commercial liquids that work as long as it hasnt been there for more than 2-3 days
