Q: Hey, I've been shopping for a new bed and a lot of the nice ones I'm finding are very low down, is this a trendy thing or do people just think shorter beds look nicer? Thanks: I've just bought a new bed and yes, it is low and now I'm sitting in bed only a few feet off the ground. I'm guessing they're trendy, kind of Japanese influence, but they look great in situ as they aren't the focus of attention in your bedroom. If you want a higher bed go for the traditional divan, but I'm v happy with my low slung bed.

Q: My six year old son is wanting bunk beds for Christmas, I was just wondering if you could use twin mattresses on the beds instead of those bunkie board pad things. The bed we are gonna purchase come with slats as a foundation for the mattresses. I just want it to be safe cause his brother which is 2 hopefully will start sleeping on the bottom bunk.: You should be able to get your choice of several diff beds For instance if the children are small then you may want to go with 1 piece bunkies then when they get bigger in a few years you could get the bunkies with the base boards separate. then in a few more years you could go with deluxe bunkies and use the same base boards or go with 3/3 mattress and box springs when they are teens by that time they will not want them stacked anymore. Get some well built bunk beds and they will last till college and beyond.Before the beds ever go on they put these steel wire braces underneith the bunkies so the chances of them falling through are pretty slim.

Q: I'm 21 and I keep wetting my bed. Why would why be wetting at this age?: I have no idea but while you are figuring it out you might want to look into adult diapers. Sometimes people wet their bed because of what they are dreaming. Also dont dismiss the idea that maybe its just sweat, i have woken up and my bed was soaked and my first thought was that i wet my bed but then i realized it was just sweat. Probably a good idea to talk to a doctor.

Q: I am a single man and I really would like to buy a black 4 poster pencil bed. Are these beds considered to be to feminine for a single man to have: No. The black definitely keeps it from being too feminine. Unless, of course, you put some gauzy canopy over it. Make sure the bedding is nice and manly, too.

Q: I'm moving and I just bought a sleigh bed. I've never had one before. Do I need to buy a bed skirt when I get my new sheets. I haven't seen any in the catalogs I've looked at. I don't have a clue about this stuff!: You never NEED a bed skirt. If your bed sits high then I'd suggest you not get one would look weird seeing as most skirts are designed to touch/almost touch the floor great for those ppl that like hiding stuff under their bed. My guest bedroom has a sleigh bed which is kinda high off the ground and my husband and I have a bed that I need a little step up to get into neither has a bedskirt would look kinda tacky. Depending on how high your bed sets should determine if you'd want to skirt it or not

Q: My baby is one month old and I need to know if it is dangerous for her to sleep in my bed? Also what kind of bed should we get her?: If you are following safe co-sleeping practices, then no it is not dangerous. -tight fitting sheets -no pillows or heavy blankets near baby's face -mum is a light sleeper -no drugs, smoking, or alchol consumption -no obesity -baby sleeps next to mum and not inbetween dad and mum -no sleeping on a couch

Q: Or if they are old enough do they make it themselves? What about your bed?: I make my bed 90% of the time. My 7 year old daughter attempts to make her bed. It is a bunk bed and sometimes she sleeps on top and sometimes she sleeps on bottom. Either way it is really hard to make even for me. Usually she trys and then I come through and give it a touch up.
