- I install showers and tile showers if installed correctly , the grout done right and sealed properly is a great way to go . as long as you use a good sealer on the grout it will not discolor on you . the downside of tile is that you need to be very careful on what you use to clean it with . harsh cleaners will eat up your grout fast . Another way to go which is almost maintenance free is onyx . it looks like cultured marble and it looks fantastic . they carry onyx at home depot , you need to at least check it out before you do anything , it looks awsome and will last forever

- Quarry tile is not meant to shine . It s quality as a tile is its slip resistance. This is why its spect out in the use in restaurants and bar areas where water is present a lot. There are cleaners that you use to keep it clean but adding a product to make it shine will take away its main anti slip properties and make is slippery when wet.. - Q: Our new kitchen tile floor was grouted last Thursday (almost a week ago). They did a poor job removing grout from the tile surface - very rough ceramic tile. I‘ve washed and scrubbed, it is cemented on. On top of that I don‘t like the grout color.Nothing has been sealed. So I got some acid wash and a grout stain from Home Depot. The stain says the tile should have been sealed prior to using it, I dont understand why that is. So I dont stain the tile? I‘m afraid if I sealed the tile it would seal the grout, so seems like a bad idea.And the acid wash... is this going to ruin the grout itself? How careful do I need to be about not getting in on the grout? Unfortunately its a large area, kitchen and dining area. 12‘ x 30‘. I‘ll be scrubbing a long time.Any suggestions to make this easier?Thanks!

- It depend on how big the job is. You need to tear out the carpet and the padding, the tack strip around the floor need to come up too. Then you got to clean the floor good. If the floor is concrete it should easily clean, if it wood it might take longer. Now it depend on the tile or ?, I would recommend something that would be easy and the best bet would be vinyl tile or 12ft sheet goods, it depend on the layout of the house or ?....So So I would get expert advice from a flooring store, avoid Home depot or Lowes. - Q: i don‘t even know how to explain what i want to ask.. but here i go....how do you make sure they come out straight. i know how to lay them but how do you make sure the second row comes out straight at the other end. I guess i need help lining them. chalk line will help but how do i do it. is there a website or video that may help me. - For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/awfzh The tiles should be the same size or in a pattern such that you can off set the joints and still have the tilegrout lines still line up. Or some of them you can both off set the joints and do a offset or brick pattern in the laminate itself. This type of laminate you ll need more than normal scrap because you will scrap more out on this type of laminate.
