- Q: Need some help with placement. How far from the back wall do you place recessed lights? I think I have them spaced right just unsure of how far back. My vanity counter will be 73.5" long. - We have a couple discount furniture stores. Ask furniture stores if they have any discontinued, or damaged things to look at. I got a bed frame for 1/4 price since it was the display. A dresser for 1/2 off since a drawer needed to be fixed (cost me $5 to fix it) I got a $8000 bay window for $400 since it was a discontinued model. There should be stores that sell only discount stuff. They're the ones that sell the clothes with spelling errors. 4 season ago shoes. the food with weird names that you never heard of (often in another language). And they just have furniture crammed in. They're all over... I'm sure there's at least one near you. You can also try places like big lots. The place you live would help a lot.

- Your power wire will have a black, white and green wire. Connect the white wire to the lights' white wires. Do the same with the ground (green) wires. Connect your lights' black wires together and to one side of the switch. Connect your power black wire to the other switch connector. Black is the 'hot' wire that you want to switch on and off. Make sure you remove the fuse so no power is to the main power wires.

What is the best way to allow the heat to escape from my vanity and into the room?The vanity is 30" wide and the room is in total about 8.5 feet by 4.5 feet (floor space only, not including tub and shower)Is it OK to cover this section of the pipe with insulation? This would protect the vanity? Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Shawn
- Either put the vanity in a different place or move the heat register. You will trap the heat inside the vanity, those registers only work well if air can move through them, creating a convection current. It can be a real pain to drain the system and move the baseboard, then refill and get the air out. Seriously consider putting the vanity elswhere or install a pedestal sink.
