- Q: I got my scaffold piercing 6 days ago, with titanium, and it was fine until yesterday.I had a couple of nights out and might have knocked it a few times, but yesterday it was swollen, red, throbbing and very painful. It seems to have got worse today.I have been following the aftercare advice and cleaning it several times a day with rock salt solution and (up until yesterday) savlon antiseptic spray. Is it just irritated or is it infected? How long should I wait before I go to the doctor? If it is infected, will I have to take it out or just take antibiotics?Thanks!
- it sounds like it's just irritated, if it's infected it will be secreting puss. Have you tried to soak it in the rock salt solution? Soak two cotton balls and put one on each side on the piercing and keep it there for 10 minutes a day. And make sure the antiseptic spray has zero alcohol in it because that can irritate it and prolong healing. Try this for a few days and if it's not getting better then go see your doctor.

- I got my lobes pierced 5 years before my industrial so I can't compare the pain but everyone says industrial. Idk if they can freeze or not. The pain is completely tolerable.

- person above me obviously didnt read LOL. anyways as to your problem you might have to bend your ear a bit while you are piercing it but this mite cause the jewlry to pull forward, you could also go higher up, change the angles or you could do a vertical industrial which would look gud with ur other pericings

- Q: hi, ive had my scaffolding for a little over a month now, and one of the holes has started going really weird. on the top, its swollen and sore on one side, and on the bottom, its the same but on the opposite side. not sure if its infected ir being rejected by ear, which ive heard can happen. i would like to keep it in if possible,as i love it. any help welcomed :) thanks xx
- I've also had my scaffolding and I had the same issue. It was totally normal, I went back to the peircing place and asked if this was regular for the piercing. They said it was and to proceed with the cleaning process etc. they said it just has scabs because its healing :)
