FAQ

1.    For Glazed Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 8 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1105.92 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers.

Q: I purchased a DIY tile backsplash kit which costs originally $134.00. Kit includes 15 sq feet of tile, grout and tools needed to install. Lowe‘s sells the kit. The problem is the color is not the color I need. So I have this bright idea to paint the tile the color I want. I only paid $40.00 for the kit. I called one of the paint suppliers and they told me a spray paint I could use for the glass tile, however, I am afraid tha after I paint the tile, install it and then add the grouting, it may take the paint off!. I don‘t know, if it would or not. I was thinking I could spray polyurethan over the tile before I grout it or would that work? Not sure what to do. This kit is a new method for putting up a backsplash in your kitchen. It is actually peel and stick and then you must grout within 2 hours.
Take the kit back and do it the RIGHT way
Q: What type of drill bit should I buy to cut into 4 x 4 ceramic tile on the wall? Can I place the bit into a router? The hole is 10 x 10 and I need it to be 10 1/2 x 10 1/2. There is 5/8 DW w/ metal studs behind it.
One problem I have found with cutting tiles using a rotating cutter - ANY rotating cutter - is that they can leave tiny chips on the edge of the glazed surface of the tile. If you put masking tape where you will cut - before you mark the cut line makes sense - it will stop that. The chipping is on quite a small scale, so you may only notice it if you look for it, and so you might not feel you need to do it at all, but if you do, you've got a way.
Q: I understand most of the rules of pai gow tiles, but one part that I am not clear on is banking. If I am the banker, do I get to see the ways that the players set their tiles before I set mine? Or do I secretly set my tiles just like everyone else and then we all reveal simultaneously?
yes to main question
Q: We are tiling our kitchen back splash with travertine tile/ tumbled marble tile.Should we seal the tile before it is on the wall or seal it after it is on the wall?Thank you.
How dare you do that to your wall... The seal is an endangered species!!
Q: My granddaughter dropped a hard toy while being held by her Mom. It put a quarter size hole in the center of my ceramic tile. How can I go about filling this hole?
They sell tub, tile and porcelain repair kits. I re-glazed an old, cracked sink and it came out looking like new. Its a two part mix, one part looks like thick paint, the other part is a hardening agent. I would get this stufff (I forgot the name) and mix and pour into the hole - it should dry rock hard. They also sell tints for it if you need to match the color. Besides that, you can always pop out the tile and just replace it if you can get that kind of tile again. (Not to sound like a jerk, but Mom should have offered to have it fixed for you - wouldn't be that much $ to have a pro pop one tile out!!)
Q: What is the use of ceramic tile?
2, de-alcoholated TC: curing shrinkage is small, water immersion off small, most of the substrate without corrosion; on the fluorocarbon profiles, steel and white marble, poor adhesion; at high temperatures, due to the reaction rate Fast, resulting in the formation of alcoholic small molecules can not be volatile in time, and the formation of bubbles affect the construction quality. Deoxime type TW: good adhesion can be in the appropriate high temperature construction, will not produce bubbles; copper and mirror industry with micro-rot. And shrinkage than alcohol type. Use restrictions: non-structural adhesive prohibited for use in structural assembly; Should not be used for oozing grease, plasticizer or other solvent building materials surface; should not be used for frost or wet surface, long buried in the underground or long-term immersion occasions; should not be used for paint the surface may be due to paint cracking or Peeling off caused by sealing failure; should not be used for direct contact with food or vulnerable to mechanical wear; not suitable for building materials, surface temperature below 4 ℃ or higher than 40 ℃ when the construction. 3, deacidification type: acid glue should not be used for cement, stone, Because the acid to produce acetic acid curing, and cement, stone and other alkaline materials on the surface reaction to form a chalk-like material, and cause off; substrate expansion coefficient is larger, with displacement or vibration, plastic construction (1) high temperature sizing, high temperature curing; curing speed too fast, the use of high-temperature, high-temperature curing, (2) sizing too thin, less than 6 mm; (3) foam rod (bar) damage caused by foaming (opening), the release of methanol from the colloid in the rate of bleeding, so that the gasification of methanol after the gasification; Type foam); there is water; foam material is incompatible, chemical reaction; (4) sizing irregular, repeated scratched.
Q: We recently remodeled our kitchen and are now ready to apply something between the counter and wall cabinets. We are thinking of tile. Our cabinets are a light oak. The counters are a marble looking blend of grey, blue, beige. Our appliances are beige. What color tile would look nice for this? Also, could you use 12x12 tile vs 4x4 or the smaller tile or is smaller tile better? We currently have unpainted drywall. Can you install tile with drywall behind? Or do you need that other type of backing?
(I prefer the drywall myself.) If you're using ceramic or stone tile, you'll need a backer for the thinset. If you're using stick-on linoleum tiles, just install Luan before the tile. The 4 tiles will look better, but for a beginner, the 12 would be easier to keep straight. Try to come up with a color that matches or refleects the color of the floor.
Q: Right now the wall is horrible paneling, I am drywalling the house, but I really want one wall tiled with granite tiles. Would it be better to do this on the paneling or drywall? Will it be too heavy and rip the wall down? Is there a safe way to do this?
Yes you can. However, to simply apply tile to the wall as it is now will not work. You will need to install a cement backer board in place of the drywall. This backer backer board will need to be screwed into the wall studs with 2 1/2 - 3 screws. The seams will need to be taped as similar to drywall. There are many other options available to you other than tile to achieve the look you are wanting. For instance, a plaster compound can be applied to the wall and made to look like a block or stone wall. Stucco or Faux finishes may be a cheaper and easier alternative.
Q: I am replacing the tile in my kitchen and having trouble getting the old tile up. The tiles are 12 inch squres, I‘m not sure what they are made of, something like linoleum I think. When it was installed it had pre-glued backing and I would like to know the easiest way to remove it. THANKS
Other answers are ok. You can avoid removing the tile entirely by using a concrete based liquid floor leveler. Works great and is self-leveling and easy to use. It dries very quickly and provides a solid, smooth surface to accept the new tile. If you do decide to remove the old tile, determine that it contains no asbestos before you proceed with any mechanical means of removal.
Q: How are these tiles differ from each other and how to identify these?
There is a plain clay, usually red called satillo. These are usually unglazed and need to be sealed. There are reddish and orangish in color . Red bodied tiled is what you call ceramic. These are made of a red clay and you can see it in the body of the tile. These are glazed over to create most of their hardness. There are 2 types of porcelains. These are generally the harder but even these tiles vary in hardness and brittleness. This type is what is generally sold as a porcelain tile. Very good in quality usually. This is the type of porcelain that is usually sold as porcelain. These are glazed ove to create their color and look. True porcelains, you can see the color of the tile go all the way through to the bottom of the tile. More costly because of this. These are usually used in commercial areas because the color will never wear off. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
