Q: What are the tiles?
2, the wave of brick: wave with the polishing turn similar, but the production requirements higher, requires a better press, to suppress a higher density, while firing a higher temperature, can do all-ceramic. Wave is to strengthen the polishing of the polished, the surface is generally no longer need to polish the treatment is very bright, to a certain extent, to solve the problem of polishing easy to dirty. Of course, the price of the wave is more expensive than polishing. Summary: polished and polished tiles because the surface is bright, so beautiful, while high wear resistance, but there is a single color, easy to dirty, non-slip and easy to penetrate the color of liquid and other shortcomings, these two bricks are generally larger, the main For the living room, the door and other places, rarely used in the bathroom and kitchen and other places
Q: the third tile. All three tiles types have the same side length. Determine the shape of the third tile type.
Where 3 tiles meet, they must add up to a full 360°. The formula for the interior angle of a regular n-sided polygon is: ((n - 2)*180) / n Plugging in n=4, the interior angle of a square is 90° Plugging in n=5, the angle of a pentagon is 108° The angle of the third tile is x and the 3 angles must add up to a full 360°: 90 + 108 + x = 360 Solve for x: x = 360 - 198 x = 162 Plug that into the original equation and solve for n: ((n - 2) * 180) / n = 162 (n-2) * 180 = 162n n - 2 = (162/180)n n - (162/180)n = 2 (18/180)n = 2 (1/10)n = 2 n = 2 * 10 n = 20 So the third tile must be from a regular icosagon (20-sided polygon) Answer: Regular icosagon; see the picture below.
Q: How many squares are tiles?
You use the brick side length * side length * block number = square number such as: 800 floor tiles is: 0.8 * 0.8 = 0.64 square, and then multiplied by 4 = 2.56 square meters 300 tiles is: 0.3 * 0.3 = 0.09 square, then Multiplied by 12 pieces = 1.08 square meters tiles have two boxes, three pieces of a box, four, eight, ten one box from 300 * 300 ------ 1000 * 1000 specifications of the larger The smaller the number of pieces
Q: Suppose you have three types of tile: red tiles, which are 1x1, bluetiles which are 1 x1, and green tiles which are 1 x 2. Let tn be the number of ways to lineup these tiles to form a 1 x n line. Such a con guration is called atiling of a 1 x n board. Determine (and justify) a recurrence relation for tn, and use yourrecurrence to compute t9.
to build a line of length n, andd a green tile to the right of a line of length n-2 or add either a red or blue tile to the rihgt of a line of length n-1 f(n) = f(n-2) + 2f(n-1) f(0) = 1 (there is 1 way to make a line of length 0: use no tiles) f(1)=2 f(2) = 5 f(3) = 12 f(4) = 29 f(6) = 70 f*6( = 169 f(7) = 409 f(8) = 985 f(9) = 2379
Q: Earlier I asked, How to find a good tile? This is what I meant
Anything that is real ceramic tile is good. Think about texture, cleaning and what the room is used for when choosing. It usually runs from $1 to $8 a square foot depending on which you choose. If you are planning to do it yourself you will need the proper tools such as a tile cutter, grout, and a base flooring etc. This will cost you up to $300 for everything but would save lots of money on labor etc. Don't buy the cheapest tile cutter! This is one of those things that you get what you pay for. Hope this helps.
Q: Please help! and give as much information you can about the invention of tiles!
Who Invented Tiles
Q: I‘m getting some of my house tiled and would like to know if I am getting ripped off or not. It is going to be approximalte 600 sq ft with 2 upstairs bathrooms. The installer gave me a quote of $2400 to lay the tile (straight or diagonal, whichever I want). I will have to buy the tile and other materials on my own. The tile is going to be 18x18. The price includes ripping out the carpet and ripping out the tile that is already in the kitchen that will be replaced as well as the tile in the upstairs baths. Also included will be haul away of all the trash. Is this a good price or not?
I am a contractor and for the work you describe i would usually charge 10 dollars a square foot. But I would include all the material including the tile but not exceeding a certain price per foot. And diagonal is extra so I think you got a damn good deal. Be careful check the guy research now no tears later.
Q: I've tiled the walls and floors in my bathroom and want to install a tile baseboard. what kind of adhesive would work. Thanks
Hi, I'm Nick The Tile Man. You can purchase thin-set mortar from Lowe's, Home Depot or your local tile supplier. It should cost about 30 dollars or less. It will bond onto tiles. Check out my web site for free information for all tile repair work.
Q: I installed tile couple of days ago in my shower. I was wondering isn't it better to put bathroom caulking instead of grout since it is flexible and it will last longer and provide better water resistance. Does grout make tile stronger or is caulking only applied on edges? Would I make mistake if I used bathroom caulking between tiles? Thanks
Caulking is generally used for the finishing touches for the edges of the tile. And the purpose for the caulking is so when the floor is mopped or the counters are wiped that the excess water wont leak into the edges of where the tile ends and the baseboards or wall begins. Grout on the other hand is designed to go in between the tiles. So a proper job is the grout in between the tiles and the caulking to polish it off making the edges seamless with a smooth transition from the wall or baseboard leading into the tile. Hope this helps some.
Q: okay so im a dancer, but i never really bothered to try tap. but since this year the company im on says i have to. I bought my shoes yesterday and i have to practice like crazy in two days because that when i start.:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::MAIN POINT!but i noticed the tile in my house is uneven like some of the corners and the sides come up and and really pointy(and sharp). IS IT BAD TO TAP ON UNEVEN TILE??WILL IT MESS UP MY TAP SHOES?
Yes it is bad to tap on tile period! It can ruin the tile floor and damage your shoes. Tile is a very slippery surface too when exposed to metal taps (especially Tel Tones). You don't want to fall and injure yourself. If I were you, I would stop by home depot or a similar store and get a square sheet of plywood to dance on. If you aren't able to do that, you can step outside on even concrete (not concrete with jagged edges, smooth concrete) and that will help create traction, and give you a nice tap sound quality. Best of luck and be careful!
