Q: Would they be easy to remove and not damage the floor (ugly linoleum) when I have to move out at the end of the year?: no the damage would be hreat every thing would have to be removed down to the bare wood. thats what peel and stick tiles do STICK.

Q: Our kitchen has vinyl tile squares from the 70‘s for the floor. Underneath that is terrazzo (sp?) and nothing else. They are proving to be a massive pain in the butt to remove so I was wondering if we even really need to. They are very thin and very stuck. Can we just skip tearing them out and go ahead with the new ceramic tile install?: your answer is NO .. you must remove the vinyl tiles and then you can use solvent to remove the left over glues and then you float with a concrete type product to level the floor and when that dries you are ready to grout and install the new tiles ...

Q: I am really sick of my tile backsplash. It's small white tiles. Is there an easier and less expensive way to cover them up instead of removing them?: there are so many choices you can go with the 1st suggestion but remember the depth of your outlets and switches will be much deeper or you can have a section of the old tile removed (like in a 4strip ) and put some glasstiles in that section to update your look -you can also remove random tiles and insert new ones in place or what i recently did for a client was to cover the tile backsplash with stainless steel sheets they also do sell an epoxy to cover them with to change the color

Q: I want to remove my carpet in the bedroom. I know about pulling it up and all that but what I don‘t know is what the next step is after it‘s totally up. Q: Remodeling a bathroom, using 4x4 ceramic wall tiles and have an old porcelain wall-mount sink.QUESTION: Do I put screws through the tile and put the mount OVER the tile, hanging the sink that way OR do I hang the sink on the untiled wall and tile around it?Thanks for your help!: Tile 1st and mount the hanging bracket on the tile. Best to make sure there is studs or a mounting plate behind the dry wall to screw into. Caulk around the sink after mounting to prevent water from going between the sink and tiles. Q: I was wondering if self stick vinyl tile would work well on bathroom walls and if it would stick well to sheet rock or if i have to replace the sheetrock with plywood?: get ceramic tiles installed Home Depot will guide you on how to do it yourself but don't use floor tiles for a wall it will look tacky for one and if you ever decide to remove them you will have to replace the dry wall because the adhesive will pull out the back of it that is covered by glue .

Q: I laid some ceramic tile about 6 years ago in a family room. There are some tile that sound hallow, Like they did not set in the adhesive securely. Nothing else is wrong with the tile, but it does sound hallow when you walk on it. I laid the tile on a concrete slab. How would you go about fixing this? I thought of drilling a small hole in the center of the tile and spraying some liquid insulation (that you put around windows) and grouting the hole closed with some grout the same color as the tile.: you need to remove the grout around each tile to be removed and with a chisel or punch gently break the tile to be removed and replace with a new one then re grout.
