My 2yr old helped me make this mornings batch! 3 mashed bananas 1/2 cup sugar (I use raw) 1/2 cup vegetable oil handful of choc chips (optional) (this is where u could add walnuts) 1 teaspoon vanilla essence 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon bicarb soda 1 cup rolled oats 1 egg 1 cup wholemeal flour, sifted Combine sugar, oil, mashed banana, egg, vanilla and oats in a bowl. Let stand for 5 mins. Add flour, baking powder, bicarb soda. Stir in choc chips (walnuts). Bake in greased muffin trays, moderate oven (180C) for about 20 mins. Makes 12 medium. Yum! Enjoy!

- First of all power wash the engine and look for leaks. An oil burner will have wet soot in the exhaust pipe. It is not believable that you have oil burning at such low mileage. THe only reason would be the use of improper or VERY CHEAP oil. your pistons have a set of COMPRESSION RINGS, and another sett of OIL CONTROL RINGS. The OIl rings are like a spring with chambers in it, and the use of additives can glue the springs o together and form COKE in them. SO the idea is to CLEAN THE MUCK out of the rings. This can be done easily with AMSOIL POWER FOAM or in a pinch SEAFOAM (which is not as strong, more diluted.) Remove your spark plugs, one at a time. Fill the chamber with the FOAM and allow it to sit. Wait a few mintes and spin the engine around once or twice. This will scrub the muck off the rings. Put the plug back, and go to the next one. And so forth. At the end, start the engine and the goo stuck on the rings should blow out the tailpipe. Then get a FULL MOTOR FLUSHING with AMSOIL CRANKCASE CLEANER or B-G. THis will remove any extra sludge left. THEN use ONLY mobil one 0W-30 for the rest of the car's life. THis will keep the oil pan and system CLEAN as a BEAN and no sludge will form again on the rings. ANother thing to do is to clean the IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE which adds AIR to the injected fuel. THis will insure that your oil coes NOT get diluted with unburned gas. THe IAC is controlled by the O2 sensors. Good luck
- Q: are fuel and oil additives a waste of money? i use fuel additive with increase lubricity and adds cetane. i use oil additives which prevent dry starts and decrease friction and reduce cylinder wash. while driving and listening to the road dog trucking show i heard a guest say that if oils and fuels needed the additives they would already be present in them from the beginning. they are an unnecessary waste of money. when i use these additives i can hear the difference in my motor especially when pulling a hill. normally when i pull a hill without any additives i can hear the pistons hammering away and if i work the engine too hard the hammering sound becomes a loud chatter. not with the additives; even on big hills the engine sounds smooth and quiet and the temp stays below 200F and the fan rarely kicks on while i pull a hill with these additives.without the additives, the engine runs hotter and kicks the fan in more times. how can he say that additives are a waste of money?
