- Q: Now we all know that a large tire covers more distance than a smaller tire per revolution. I was curious about how an odometer works with respect to tires - would you actually cover more distance with larger tires, thus cheating the odometer? Or is this calculation just negligible?
- Yes you can go farther and show less miles, the abs and traction control will not know the difference and will work fine. But you have a better chance of getting a speeding ticket going faster than speedo indicates.
- Q: I am confuse about it i thought girls get tired but is it true taht after doin intercourse guys become unattive and feel very lazy??? n weak/
- Not to tired to have a cigeratte, and i'm fast asleep
- Q: When a self-sealing inner tire tube is punctured (up to 1/8), it is said to reseal itself. But does it reseal the puncture for good or does it just give me enough time to get to a place where I can change / patch the inner tube? Also, does using tire liners affect the tires in any way at all (aside from keeping me from having flat tires)? I have a mountain bike but I use it only on paved trails.
- In my experience, sealing tires tend to be a little heavier then regular tires but they work for small thorns. If you happen to ride over a nail, they never seemed to work. I've found it a little harder to fill air into self-sealing tires as well. Tire liners are very easy to install if you have tire removal tools. They just slide between the tube and your tire. I have never had problems with them but I have used them with self-sealing tires(used to ride near star thistle patches and killed too many tires). Most tire liners only protect a small section though and if you get a spike through the side, it will still puncture the tube. One warning about a tire liner: be sure the liner is secure in place when you put it in before inflating the tire. If the liner is askew, it can pinch the tube and eventually punch a hole in it. Also, most tire liners will throw the balance of your tire off a little.
- Q: Has anyone had luck find tire chains or tire cables for winter use?
- Why would you need snow chains? You said your vehicle is a Porsche Cayenne. It can swing journeys through snow without snow chains better than anything that would require snow chains.
- Q: I have a tire where the sides are cracked though the treat is near perfect. It‘s on a car we only drive on occasion.
- When I bought my 2012 Nissan Versa in February 2015, it had 4 new tires on it. I punctured one on Saturday. Is there any reason to contact the dealer for a tire warranty ?
- Q: I was ordering tires for my 2009 Pontiac G3, the guy at the counter seemed really surprised I needed new tires at 19,000 miles and suggested I check on the warranty. Of course, I can‘t find that part of the warranty in my papers - anyone know this one?
- With every new car purchase the dealer gives you the owners manual, maintenance schedule, reference guides and the tri-fold warranty for the tires. If you don't have it just go to the tire dealer and he will tell you what it is. He wants to keep you for a customer and will help you if possible. If you have a manufactures defect your tire would be covered 100% for a certain amount of time depending on the kind of tire. Once that time period passes and you feel you have a defective tire the tire dealer will agree to have the wear of the tire measured and use a formula to pro rate the tires portion that's been used so you would be responsible for that wear and the rest of the cost would be picked up by the tire company. You also need to know that if you damage the tire by running over something the tire dealer won't agree to pro rating. If you need tires with only 20,000 miles on them I'm betting you don't have a leg to stand on. No tire company will warranty abuse by racing. or by running the tires with the wrong tire pressure. Good luckJoey
- Q: What is the normal tire pressure?
- General standard tire pressure requirement is about 2.2MPa. Try not to exceed 2.5
- Q: Tire says 80psi, door plate says 40 psi, thats a huge difference.
- I have found out the hard way, alot of times it's best to go with what is on the tire. The new tires that I have on my Blazer say 45psi and my door don't say anything, but if they go under 40psi it don't drive very well mainly around corners and cerves on the highway. Just because the door will say one thing and tire will say some thing don't mean it's the best for the tire, running a tire under could ruin a good tire.
- Q: I‘m looking to buy some snow tires. Just a little uncertain where to go. Big O‘ Tires? Pep Boys? Discount Tires? I live in Denver, CO drive a 2005 Neon
- I would go with Discount Tires.
- Q: Can the vehicle tyre to be recycle back to tyre? If yes, will the cost be cheap?
- Positively 4th St, Tyre is the correct spelling in British English. Tire is used in American English.
