4.FAQ
Packaging:
Each Chopped Strand Mat is wound onto a paper tube which has an inside diameter of 76mm and the mat roll has a diameter of 275mm. The mat roll is wrapped up with plastic film, and then packed in a cardboard box or wrapped up with kraft paper. The rolls can be vertically or horizontally placed. For transportation, the rolls can be loaded into a cantainer directly or on pallets.
Storage:
Unless otherwise specified, Chopped Strand Mat should be stored in a dry, cool and rain-proof area. It is recommended that the room temperature and humidity should be always maintained at 15℃~35℃ and 35%~65% respectively.
- Q: How does the roll diameter of fiberglass mat tissue affect its handling?
- The roll diameter of fiberglass mat tissue affects its handling by influencing its weight, ease of maneuverability, and the amount of material that can be handled at once. A larger roll diameter may be heavier and more challenging to handle, requiring more effort and potentially causing strain. Additionally, a larger roll diameter may limit maneuverability, making it harder to transport or position the material. Conversely, a smaller roll diameter is typically lighter and easier to handle, allowing for more flexibility in moving and manipulating the fiberglass mat tissue.
- Q: How does the thickness of fiberglass mat tissue affect its flexibility?
- The flexibility of fiberglass mat tissue is directly influenced by its thickness. In general, thinner mat tissue exhibits greater flexibility in contrast to thicker ones. This is primarily because the thickness of the mat tissue regulates the level of resin absorption and the overall weight of the material. Thinner mat tissue allows for a higher saturation of resin, thereby enhancing its flexibility. Moreover, the reduced weight of thinner mat tissue facilitates easier bending and shaping. Conversely, thicker mat tissue is less flexible due to its lower capacity for resin absorption and heavier weight. Consequently, bending or shaping thicker mat tissue may necessitate more force or effort when compared to thinner counterparts. Hence, the thickness of fiberglass mat tissue plays a pivotal role in determining its flexibility.
- Q: Can fiberglass mat tissue be used for waterproofing?
- Yes, fiberglass mat tissue can be used for waterproofing. Fiberglass mat tissue is a thin, non-woven material that is made from fiberglass fibers. It is commonly used in construction and building applications to provide reinforcement and waterproofing properties. When applied with a waterproofing agent or resin, the fiberglass mat tissue can create a waterproof barrier that helps to prevent the passage of water or moisture. This makes it an effective choice for applications such as roofing, basement waterproofing, and bathroom or shower installations. The strength and durability of fiberglass mat tissue also make it resistant to cracking or tearing, ensuring long-lasting waterproofing protection.
- Q: Can fiberglass mat tissue be used for insulation purposes?
- Yes, fiberglass mat tissue can be used for insulation purposes. Fiberglass mat tissue is a lightweight material made from fine strands of glass fibers that are bonded together with a binder. It is commonly used as a reinforcement material in the construction industry, but it can also be used as insulation. Fiberglass mat tissue has excellent thermal insulation properties, making it an effective choice for insulating buildings and other structures. It helps to prevent heat transfer, keeping the interior of a building warm in cold weather and cool in hot weather. Additionally, it is non-combustible, which makes it a safe option for insulation. The flexibility and ease of installation of fiberglass mat tissue make it a popular choice for insulating walls, roofs, and floors. It can be easily cut and shaped to fit different spaces, making it versatile for various construction projects. It is also resistant to moisture, mold, and mildew, ensuring long-lasting insulation performance. In summary, fiberglass mat tissue can indeed be used for insulation purposes. Its thermal insulation properties, non-combustible nature, and ease of installation make it a suitable choice for insulating buildings and improving energy efficiency.
