- Q: Melamine plastic synthesis process, mainly the molding powder added in that process
- There are many types of plastic products, a lot of classification methods.
- Q: I have removed textured wall paper from ceiling, the plasterboard is in very good nick, but has gaps between sheets?I really dont want to have to get it all re-skimmed.would the correct approach be to plasterboard joint tape, then lining paper over over it, before painting?Id appreciate a how to.....

- Q: I'm looking to move into a new apartment by the end of the month. It's in a good location, however the only down side is that the neighbors upstairs have kids and they run a day care during the day. Luckily I work and won't be home until 5:30 or so, but just by visiting the place today I could hear them walking upstairs and I'm sure that it's going to annoy me.I would like to know if anybody has any ideas on how to noise proof my ceiling for a reasonable price. Is there some kind of paint that effectively noise proofs walls and such, or would I have to wreck the ceiling and place fiberglass or something of the sort in order to ensure that I don't hear them walking or they don't hear me playing loud music and such.Any help is appreciated, thanks!
- This will cost you a little bit and I suppose you'd have to get permission from the landlord, but you can buy ceiling covering that comes in larger pieces but has a design in relief so that it will look like many smaller tiles. You use a caulk gun to put adhesive on the back of the section in strategic places, and then you just press it up onto your ceiling...just start at one corner and go all the way to the opposite one and then go back and start another row...remember to 'match' the pieces so that the tile lines are even. This is very light weight material but it is has a sort of foam-like core that will indeed give you some sound proofing. Plus, it makes a very regal looking ceiling.
- Q: I live in the basement and the tiles in my drop ceiling are so annoying there the normal whatever material they are and i have dark carpeting and i guess our house sucks because I have to vacuum all the time because ill look down and there will be white specks all over the floor which im guessing is coming from the tiles from when people walk upstairs. So i want to replace them with a material that wont do that.
- Sounds like the tiles are crumbling and need to be stablised. Take out the tiles and give them a coat of a water based glue such as PVA diluted 3 parts water 1 part PVA. Let it dry well and paint with a water based paint to a colour of you choice. The tiles are probably getting damp, this usually causes problems with them but this will fix it for a while.
- Q: I'm thinking of adding a ceiling to my porch to create an insulation space (the roof alone radiates a lot of direct heat in the summer; the porch otherwise is open) between it and the roof (corrugated fiberglass) but I'd like to still be able to see the roof as I've already painted the roof's interior and like how it contrasts with the supporting frame's color.I'm also looking to paint the exterior of the roof to better waterproof it (some leaks where previous owner screwed it in) and to better reflect light to further reduce heat. Any suggestion on paint or would it be better to just replace the roof entirely with better material? Thanks!
- There are many ways you could go. Yes, you can use the plexi to create insulation space. The best insulation is dead air. That is, air that cannot circulate and move around. The key to using it will be using something to seal it tight, a clear silicone caulk, perhaps. They make a special glue for it, you could make smaller areas to help keep air movement down with strips inside the ceiling area to form the pockets of air. Think bubblewrap, only solid. Probably caulk or glue on the joists is good enough. As for the exterior, fiberglass is extremely difficult to get paint to stick to, unless you use the gel coat stuff made for it. Maybe there is a good primer to make it take paints. If possible, paint it with the same stuff made for mobile home roofs, tho I don't know how well it will stick to fiberglass, it does fine on the metal roof of a mobile home. The stuff I'm talking about is available in only a few colors, white, silver, gray, and black. It's thick, like tar, but not tar. If you use the silver or white, it should help keep down the heat, after all, that's what it's designed for. It also has insulation and leak sealing properties. If you have a good cheap supply of the plexi, you could also put plexi over it for sealing, but before you do, you could use window tint on it, the kind that looks like a mirror on one side, and is dark on the other. put the mirror towards the sun. If you put your mind to it, there are probably many many ways to get done what you need to do. Maybe there's some way to use recycled materials.
- Q: What is fiberglass?
- Glass wool is made of centrifugal glass wool Felt is Owens Corning (OC) exclusive patented centrifugal technology, the melting glass fiber and thermosetting resin-based environmentally friendly formula made of adhesive products, is A flexible felt made of fiberglass with a diameter of only a few microns and can be optically selected according to the requirements. It has a large number of tiny air pores, so that it plays a role in thermal insulation, noise absorption and safety protection, steel structure is building insulation, noise absorption of the best materials. Glass wool is a category in glass fiber, is a kind of artificial inorganic fiber. Using quartz sand, limestone, dolomite and other natural ore as the main raw material, with some soda ash, borax and other chemical raw materials into glass. In the molten state, with the external force blowing into the flocculent fine fiber, fiber and fiber between the three-dimensional cross, intertwined with each other, showing a lot of small gaps. This gap can be seen as porosity. Therefore, glass wool can be regarded as porous material, with good insulation, sound absorption performance.
- Q: Does the fiberglass ceiling do the ceiling?
- Long mineral wool ceiling to introduce advanced Japanese production technology, the use of European green standards testing, monitoring, the introduction of the production of European-style Italian light steel keel production system.
- Q: You would have chosen to join the huts?
- Wooden houses in Europe and the United States is very popular, especially in North America, wood structure building system since 1830 has dominated. - Q: What type of contractor would be able to remove the insulation from the crawlspace ceiling and put it against the outside wall where it would actually be useful?
- The insulation isn't making your floor cold, the weather is. And by code, your exterior walls are already insulated.
