- Q: A 2.44 g piece of metal was taken from a beaker of boiling water at 100oC and placed directly into a calorimeter at 25.0o C. The calorimeter heat capacity is 1.23 J/K. If the final temperature is 72.5 oC, determine the specific heat capacity of the metal.

- Q: Which metal should be used while constructing roof for a metal building??
- Metals have some basic properties... Scratch the substance with a knife of something like that...If the surface below is lustrous or shiny then it is a metal...Also, metals can be made into wires and sheets...You can make wires and sheets out of iron, copper, gold and aluminium....Can u make a wire or sheet with helium or sulphur..As far as i know...NO! bcoz sulphur is powdery and helium is a gas... Wats more when u scratch iron, aluminium, copper and gold they will reveal a lustrous surface beneath...But u cnt scratch sulphur or helium... Easy!!! isn't it??

- Groove metal (sometimes called post-thrash or simply groove) is a subgenre of heavy metal. It is often used to describe Pantera and Exhorder. At its core, groove metal takes the intensity and sonic qualities of thrash metal and plays it at a mid-tempo, with most bands making only occasional forays into fast tempo. BQ1: Thrash Metal BQ2: Death Metal BQ3: Alternative Metal BQ4: Papa Roach
- Q: since most salts contain a metal and a salt, how can one be sure that it is the metal atoms that emit photons when the salt is burnt (and analyzed under a spectroscope) and not the non-metals?
- I don't fully understand your question. Manufactured metals? or are you referring to ore minerals? If you are referring to manufactured metals, iron tends not to rust so much - not just because it seldom rains but because the humidity (water vapour present in the atmosphere) is so low. Cars left abandoned in the desert will remain in a useable condition years later. If you are referring to ore minerals, you find similar minerals in the desert to what you find in places with wetter climates. Evaporites, especially gypsum halite, are frequently found in a desert environment but these are not metals. Sulphide minerals of copper, lead and zinc would tend not to oxidise and hydrolyse so much but that said, I have personally seen oxidised copper minerals in the Atacama desert which is one of the driest places on Earth.

- Dream Theater, Opeth, Atheist, Agalloch, Death, Meshuggah, Pain of Salvation, Queensryche, Symphony X, and Tool. To list a few. They are very good bands. Try these, the others have posted metalcore or nu-metal bands, that aren't very good.
- Q: I'm looking for some newer heavy metal bands that bare a resemblance sound-wise to classic heavy metal. Help me out? My two favorite classic metal bands are Iron Maiden and Judas Priest.
- Metal depends on what band you believe was the creator of it. More of a personal opinion. Death Metal came around as a result of Death. They played metal (hence, DM). Not sure what country they were from.
