In the early '90s Alternative Metal became huge, bands like Alice in Chains and Soundgarden were associated with that genre. All the new metal genres (groove, speed, power, NU, black) were invented in the late '90s and early 2000s.

Q: Metal will never die.: Metal would be Iron Maiden, hands down. After that it's mostly Blind Guardian (power metal), Nightwish (opratic/power metal), or even some thrash like Metallica. Lamb of God's saved for when I'm angry. Nothing like a variety of metal to help the day.

Q: Are there any females who like black or death metal. If so what bands? Is there anything sexier than a female in a bullet belt?: Its also called heavenly metal or white metal. Its a branch of heavy metal that the lyrics talk about Christianity and its themes. The band members are also tied the faith. They are not necessarily heavily involved. It also tie has to other categories such as thrash and metalcore. Look at Stryper, Tourniquet (thrash metal), As I Lay Dying (metalcore). Its pretty much everywhere within metal. Just some more than others.

Q: I always hear about PIRATE metal, but what about NINJA metal? C'mon! I wanna hear about ninja metal!: Not too fond of it myself but I like Amon Amarth and Enslaved to fill my Viking niche.

Mercury is a metal (typically in liquid or gaseous state). Lead and aluminum also oxidize, but the compound is not called rust. Check the periodic table of elements.
