Q: I mean, they're really heavy, but they just don't sound that metal. I mean, I know they are metal. But they don't sound anything like Judas Priest or Iron Maiden. All they have is abrasiveness and drop tuning, and not any high screams or shredding, let alone anything REALLY anthemic.: I'm seriously digging a few of the new Thrash and Power metal bands I live in an area completely occupied by metalcore kids - Maryland... There's no Metal Scene here, just me and a few other guys All the Thrash shows I go to have these 40 year old guys standing around in their Denim jackets that don't mosh or headbang... What a bore! In short, I hate the scene here... As for the bands, Thrash is alive and well... So much great bands, so much riffage! Thrash is where it's at BQ: I am almost 100% sure that this new dubstep trend is going to get mixed in with metal and within the next 10 years the new Deathcore will be Dubstep Metal...
