Ferro Silicon(FeSi) is a co-product of Brown Fused Alumina during fusion,so also called Brown Fused Alumina Slag. During fusion of aluminum oxide based bauxite, heavy elements in the electric arc furnace goes down to bottom of the furnace. After cooling down, they become silver/grey ores which contain Ferro and Silicon. In our industry, we call them Brown Fused Alumina Slag.
After crushing and sizing, it's made into different grits suitable for steel making industry as media separation or sink float process to remove oxygen from high quality steel or cast iron. Main users of FeSi are producers of alloyed, carbon or stainless steel.
According to content of Ferro, we make mainly 2 quality: 72% Ferro FeSi and 80% Ferro FeSi.

- I think it is non renewable. Things such as solar, wind, and water are renewable as they are constantly re generating. Metal can be recycled but it is a limited resource such as iron ore which is used to make steel can be quarried but each hole only contains so much.

Glam/Hair Metal: Pop music metal in the 80's highly focused on image and power ballads. Bands like Motley Crue and Poison are the archetypes of this genre. Thrash/Speed Metal: Faster more aggressive metal than anything that came before it. Jerky tempo changes and very percussive in sound. Bands like early Metallica and Slayer are the archetypes. - Alternative Metal is related to Nu Metal, there's no denying it. In fact many Alternative Metal bands were direct influences on Nu Metal, Faith No More, Primus, and Helmet to name a few Alt. Metal bands who were massive influences on Nu Metal. I'd say System of a Down is an example of an Alternative Metal band that sometimes get labelled as Nu Metal, although it could be argued that they're Nu Metal, their music is more in line with Alt. Metal, some of Mike Patton's work in Faith No More and Mr. Bungle is a huge influence on their music and it's more apparent than it is in most Nu Metal.

- There is something called the Reactivity Series which basically shows which elements are more reactive than others.. but they are grouped as metals and nonmetals.. i dont think you can generalize all nonmetals as more reactive than nonmetals, or vice versa.. it really depends upon the individual element, regardless of whether or not it is a metal.
