Ferro Silicon(FeSi) is a co-product of Brown Fused Alumina during fusion,so also called Brown Fused Alumina Slag. During fusion of aluminum oxide based bauxite, heavy elements in the electric arc furnace goes down to bottom of the furnace. After cooling down, they become silver/grey ores which contain Ferro and Silicon. In our industry, we call them Brown Fused Alumina Slag.
After crushing and sizing, it's made into different grits suitable for steel making industry as media separation or sink float process to remove oxygen from high quality steel or cast iron. Main users of FeSi are producers of alloyed, carbon or stainless steel.
According to content of Ferro, we make mainly 2 quality: 72% Ferro FeSi and 80% Ferro FeSi.

- Q: Okay, I got into this discussion with my roommate debating which of these genres is better. He says he thinks bands like Slipknot and Korn are better because they have a more aggressive stage presence and deep meaningful lyrics. I'm not saying they suck, I'm just saying that I believe that old metal bands are far better than new metal.I will agree with him that there are some pretty good guitarists in those kinds of bands, but with lyrics like I will eat your heart then wear it as a hat I have a hard time comprehending with that. I told him that it was because of bands like Led Zeppelin, ACDC, Aerosmith, and Van Halen that these new metal bands exist. Bands like Slipknot may be good in the musical talent sense, but they'll never be as big or as iconic as Led Zeppelin. Plus, I know for a fact that these guys wouldn't come as close as good as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, or Eddie Van Halen. So what do you guys think? Winner Gets 10 points!!!!!

- actually the metal ion inhibition is very comlicated phenomenon , it is noncompetititive , irreversible kind of phenomenon , according to the reports available these metal ions probably bind to the free sulphhidryl (-SH) grops of the cysteine amino acids present in the enzyme , thereby changing the confirmation of enzyme which is not suitable for the substrate. however there are also reports they sometimes also remove the metal ions present in the enzymes
