Q: Scrap metal
Yes, i consider hair metal as metal.
Q: Metal for life #92;m/
There are some wooden cars, yes.
Q: Why are locating agents used when working with different metals? It isn't because that they are colourless, but rather to distinguish between cos all the metals have similar colours right? thanks. :D
the screaming is more a signature of hardcore which is derived more from punk than anything, but has been brought in to metal through its sub genres (primarily thrash) but Metal is essentially just hard rock with heavily distorted guitars, fast bass lines, and intricate drums.
Q: We all know that just about everything else influences metal but has metal had an influence on pop, country, classical, or any other genre? And if so what artists or songs?
Yes, and everything else inbetween.
Q: anyone know some good heavy metal bands?lyk they're really loud!! lolz ^^, tnx in advance!!
Doom sucks Black sucks harder Death is pretty good
Q: displacement reaction of metals
Rock is a very broad category. Metal is a sub-genre of that and then there are even sub-genres of Metal (i.e, Black Metal, Death Metal, Speed Metal, etc.). You can start quite a spirited debate about the differences between hard rock and metal. Most (for instance) would define Boston and Def Leppard as hard rock acts, yet would put Judas Priest and Metallica in the Metal category. Yet beyond specific examples, it is hard to distinguish the two sometimes.
Q: I've heard that they are nu metal. But what is that...isn't that the same thing as metal? I know metal has different subgenres but why do people make it so complicated? Why cant all metal just be metal instead of calling it thrash, nu, heavy, black, death, alternative metal, etc . In my opinion they are all loud and heavy in somewhat so why arent all of them metal instead ?
play them all, even the old school ones
Q: Explain how a pure metal is held together. (Include a definition of a metallic bond in your explanation). I'm not so worried about the information in the parenthesis but I do need to know how a pure metal is held together. The more detailed the explanation the better.
Opeth Agalloch Gallowbraid Children Of Bodom Death Autopsy Testament Possessed Bloodbath Cannibal Corpse Dethklok
Q: I was kind of confuzzed about the differences between these genres! You don't have to explain every single one of them but just the ones that you know! * 1 Alternative metal * 2 Avant-garde metal * 3 Black metal * 4 Christian metal * 5 Crust punk * 6 Death metal * 7 Doom metal * 8 Drone metal * 9 Extreme metal * 10 Folk metal * 11 Funk metal * 12 Glam metal * 13 Gothic metal * 14 Grindcore * 15 Groove metal * 16 Industrial metal * 17 Metalcore * 18 Melodic death metal * 19 Neo-classical metal * 20 Nintendocore * 21 Nu metal * 22 Post-metal * 23 Power metal * 24 Progressive metal * 25 Rap metal * 26 Sludge metal * 27 Southern Metal * 28 Speed metal * 29 Stoner metal * 30 Symphonic metal * 31 Technical death metal * 32 Thrash metal * 33 Traditional heavy metal * 34 Viking metal
I often think along these lines, but to my knowledge nobody has taken this seriously. Bon Jovi did the soundtrack for Young Guns II, and it had what was then considered a metal sound. Now a bunch of that stuff is just considered hard rock. So even if someone were to do it, they would run into a boundary dispute of what is metal and what is hard rock. Looking on what is now considered country music from the perspective of a child of the 80s, it looks like a lot of the current country is at least as heavy as the hard rock of the 80s.
