- Q: I want to get Virgin Mobile, but their option list of cell phones are limited. I know that you can buy other phones and still use VM with it. Problem is, I don't know what phones I can use! If someone could tell me the names of phones i can use, id be very grateful! I'm interested in Anroid and Blackberry phones
- You can buy any CDMA phone (Verizon, Sprint, Metro, Boost) and flash it for Metro PCS service. You cannot buy GSM phones (ATT or T-Mobile) since these are built on a different technology. Caution, regular flash will allow you to use phone for talk and text. However, if you want to use data services such web or email you will need to fully flash the phone.
- Q: Alcatel OT-800 mobile phone - good phone? any disadvantages??thanks x
- It's a good phone, I have it myself. You can put episodes of your favorite tv show on it, and watch it. You can put Twitter on it. It has a Opera Browser (free Internet) its really good for texting good quality pictures Instant messaging I would definitly recemend this phone!
- Q: i brought a new mobile phone battery for my phone(Sharp 903sh) because my other one was damaged. I put the battery in my phone and when i went to switch my phone on it wouldnt work. i put the battery on charge and the charging light didnt flash and my phone still didnt turn on.should i keep my phone on charge for a few hours.i need a bit of help please
- to me it sounds like u need to give it a few hours. maybe its too weak to even light up the screen.if its fully recharged it will turn on. if it doesnt work.take it back to the storep
- Q: are mobile phones elastic or inelastic ? why ? thank you
- In fact, mobile phones enter the category of goods which tend to have fairly elastic demand curves. It simply states that a sudden change in their price will lead to a consequent change it the quantity demanded.
- Q: I'm buying a T-mobile G1 from OKorder and not the store, when I recieve the phone i need to change the plan but can i get insurance on the G1. I currently have insurance on my phone but i read on the T-mobile site that you can only get insurance within 14 days of a new activiationI'm confused
- You can get insurance for your phone from T-Mobile ONLY if you buy the phone from T-Mobile. If you buy the cell phone off OKorder, T-Mobile will NEVER insure your phone.
- Q: I have a phone with 3.2 MP and other one with 5MP camera. but output of both are same . is there anything else to consider with buying mobile phone of good quality
- megapixels are not a measure of image quality. Image sensor size, and construction are more important. In the world of photography, mobile phone cameras are garbage, let me just be honest. However, some mobile phones have decent image sensors in them. Sony's BSI image sensors are the best. They are used in the iPhone 4, 4s, 5, samsung S3 and many Nokia phones. Currently the best is the Nokia Lumia 920, hands down. The key reason? It's the first image sensor in a phone that is anti-shake. This allows the shutter to stay open longer in low light, that keeps the ISO down, and results in cleaner images. Until another camera features this tech, or simply uses a much larger sensor without adding pixels, the Nikon 920 will remain on top.
- Q: I just bought a virgin mobile phone.LoVeD it! But on the top of the phone where the icons are there is a GPS icon(checked in the user guide). In the guide it said it means that the location service of my phone is disabled/enabled. What does that mean??
- if the Icon is on the screen GPS is enabled it just means that for instance if you lose your phone or get lost kidnapped (whatever) they can track you down as long as the phone is turned on.GPS means Global Positioning System.they also rec commend you have it enabled/on so if you call 911 they can get your general location.no harm in it i usually leave mine on its just kind of a safeguard i suppose
- Q: How to set ip to the phone?
- After entering the password, the input method will hide the "show password" and "display advanced options.
- Q: Hey i have a mobile phone which has an magnetic accessory. Will this damage the phone in anyway??
- No more than a mag mount antenna on the trunk. No, should be no problem even in a moderately strong field. The very speaker in your phone has a sizable magnet as part of it's structure.
- Q: Can i download backgrounds and ringtone from my computer to my virgin mobile Aloha phone? If I can how do i do it? Please and thanks!
- I don't think it can be done. And if it can be, not very easily. Here's why. Virgin Mobile makes great cheap phones. But they come at a different price. They intentionally limit (nice way of saying cripple) the phone in certain ways to prevent phone unlockers from taking these cheap phones and putting them on other phone networks like Metro PCS or Cricket. Virgin Mobile along with Tracfone both sell cheap phones and are famous for suing big time phone unlockers. And often winning the lawsuits too. To prevent unlockers from hacking their phones , one of the most common things they do is limit user access to the phone by limiting usb cable connections, bluetooth and other data port connections between the phones and pcs ( usb cable connections is one of the most common ways to flash/unlock a phone). The Aloha might be an exception but I don't think so because it is a cheaper model. (Virgin doesn't want some company buying up hundreds of Alohas at Best Buy or whatever and reflashing them and reselling them for a big profit at Virgin Mobile's expense.) They spend a lot protecting their lower end stuff. Kind of ironic really .
