I did the same with my three-band mobile phone from the states. I also bought it from T-mobile. I am German and was in the states for some time, loved my phone and took it back home, put my old sim-card in from my prepaid phone -works! No problem, other than the language I have on my phone is English now, and T9 for texting won't work with texts in German, as the vocabulary I would need to teach my phone exceeds the capacity. So I type my texts manually. But what the heck. Phone works.

Q: I have a lg rumour phone since January and it recently dropped from my pocket. The phone itself works its just the screen or something in the screen cracked. It looks like the screen when I broke my laptop. I'm currently on a 2 year plan at Virgin. Can I replace my phone for another one? How much would I have to pay to get another phone? and I was wondering, my phone doesnt have a sim card, if i buy a virgin mobile sim card, can i insert it into my phone or something and transfer the data on to aanother phone? If I get the sim card, can i use it on other phones from other companies such as fido or rogers?: ur on virgin mobile canada? well i guess u are. well if your phone doesn't have a sim card then it doesn't work with the GSM/HSPA phones. the phones like iphone,blackberry. are ones that use sims cardsalso the sim card will not work on other companies if u wanna get data off ur phone then u would use memory card. i am not sure if the lg rumour has MicroSD slots if u had the phone in january i doubt u can get a upgrade of any kind. i am pretty sure ull have to pay full price for it for a new lg rumor. also, the phone has warranty still BUT there is physical damage and usually people get denied new phones because they think you did the damage on purpose. which sucks all i can say is go to virgin mobile and ask if they can give u under the manufacturer warranty a new phone(i hope so) but thye might deny you as i mentioned about physical damage.

I know first hand. Since they know that this merger will go through T Mobile just stop caring. Their goal is to sell as many phones as possible to lock you into a contract. T Mobile has spent millions in legal fees because their employees continue to give out their customer's ssn and pass code. I have the case number for this. I hope that this helps as a great deal of research has gone into this.

And if so how?!!!: It is ultimately possible to put a Boost Mobile phone on Virgin Mobile, but the hassle involved (not to mention the laws broken to do so) makes the answer: Technically yes, but not feasible. Virgin Mobile does not allow outside phones in their system, regardless of if other carriers have it available or not. The problem here is that in order to make an outside phone work and get by their rules, you need to do what is known as ESN cloning, where you take the ESN of a Virgin Mobile phone and put it on the phone you want to use. ESN cloning is currently against federal law (primarily DMCA laws) and some state laws as well (notably New York State). It is just easier (and most likely cheaper) to just buy a Boost Mobile phone if you want to use Boost Mobile services.
