Excavators are used in many ways:
Digging of trenches, holes, foundations
Material handling
Brush cutting with hydraulic attachments
Forestry work
Forestry mulching
Demolition
General grading/landscaping
Mining, especially, but not only open-pit mining
River dredging
Driving piles, in conjunction with a pile driver
Drilling shafts for footings and rock blasting, by use of an auger or
Hydraulic drill attachment
Hydraulic excavator capabilities have expanded far beyond excavation tasks with buckets. With the advent of hydraulic-powered attachments such as a breaker, a grapple or an auger, the excavator is frequently used in many applications other than excavation. Many excavators feature a quick coupler for simplified attachment mounting, increasing the machine's utilization on the jobsite. Excavators are usually employed together with loaders and bulldozers. Most wheeled, compact and some medium-sized (11 to 18-tonne) excavators have a backfill (or dozer) blade. This is a horizontal bulldozer-like blade attached to the undercarriage and is used for levelling and pushing removed material back into a hole.
- Q: What are pieces of HEAVY equipment?
- Heavy equipment is what they use to excavate land to build buildings or roadways...such as highlifts, backhoes, bulldozers and excavators. My dad's a heavy equipment operator. He has all kinds.
- Q: I would really appreciate if the answer made sense :)
- The engine (usually a small truck engine of 8 or 9 litres) drives a high volume hydraulic pump which supplies oil under pressure to a set of spool valves which are operated by the driver through a series of levers or in modern equipment by a set of electrical solenoids in the cab. When a valve is opened oil under pressure is fed to one end of a 2 way ram which forces the piston in the ram either in to the ram cylinder or out of it which operates the arm or the bucket. Some track vehicles also have hydraulic motors which are fastened to the track drives to move the vehicle along or they have a simple hydrodynamic gear box and diff as on some large bull dozers. Most have a large heat exchanger to keep the hydraulic fluid cool.
- Q: Excavator card good test?
- Mine is for you, 11OO yuan. It's a little expensive.
- Q: Excavator first originated in that country?
- The first invention of backhoe loader manufacturers - Keith Keith tracked and wheeled excavator pioneer in 1951, the first full hydraulic backhoe excavator located by the French Poclain (POCLAIN) launched the factory, thus creating a new excavator in the field of technology development space. In 1961, the Poclain plant introduced the TY45 wheel hydraulic excavator again, making it the best excavator manufacturer in the industry. In the mid 60s, Keith produced and sold excavators in the United States with 6 types
- Q: What do excavators usually do?
- Building construction and demolition. Repair railways, roads, bridges. Landscape and forestry. Municipal engineering. Farmland reconstruction.
- Q: My excavator is KOMATSU PC650,the bucket is vulnerable to wear after changed . How could I choose a right one
- How many excavators you got Wang? ever heard of a grease gun? do you or any of your employees actually know how to operate an expensive piece of heavy equipment? or are you just trying to rip through rock and concrete at full power and destroying buckets, 20 years as a mechanic in the heavy equipment industry I've seen it all, that 650 ain't a small machine, and the bucket that came with it should last the life of the machine if some dummy doesn't neglect it or destroy it, keep your pins greased and change teeth when necessary, that is if you haven't ripped the shanks off already, other than that you could find someone to hard face the problem areas your experiencing with your buckets, many contractors that use there equipment 24/7 will do it, its a welding technique thats on going, as when the hard face wares down its re applyed,
- Q: Classification and principle of excavators

- Q: My thoughts are (since it really is a huge, run down area of landscaping in the front of our house) is to rent a small/med/large? excavator and literally rip out all of the remaining, overgrown landscaping old, large cement steps that are in place. It is a huge job to do by hand the last landscaper I spoke with quoted me 2-3 grand or more, we would really rather do this ourselves save alot of money if possible!
- I agree that that is the best way forward, so what was your question. Cost in skip (dumpster ?) hire, and waste disposal charges. (high in U.K.)
- Q: I have several excavators equipped with ESCO bucket teeth but these original ones are just too costly…I found?
- I always buy bucket teeth from China suppliers and at the very beginning I bought from a supplier in Zhejiang area and later found several suppliers there.Their prices are pretty good, and all are sold by kg,3 dollars per kg and even lower than that for some not so large bucket teeth. I was deeply impressed by their prices and bought several types to try,but honestly speaking, their performance is not so satisfying and the situation is like what you mentioned, they cracked very soon.Anyway, I think I just got what I paid because they are much much lower than the original ones, aren’t they? However,if you care much about the quality, you may try other resources. I used to bought some ESCO bucket teeth from a company named AS Machinery and their bucket teeth are rather better and 3 times longer than these ones I mentioned first and the prices are not so expensive as the original esco bucket teeth. One more thing, they carry many kinds of bucket teeth, for example, the Komatsu bucket teeth,VOLVO bucket teeth,CAT bucket teeth, etc.,so it will save you much time and cost to source if you have many different machines in hand.Anyway, hope my experience would be of some help for you,my friend.
- Q: I Have a good understanding of how the A/c works, but I need help finding the low pressure switch. right now the machine is so low on refidgerant that the compressor is kicking off. I know i need to jump the low pressure switch across, I just can't find it. thank you.
- Rather than jumping the switch, you should be able to do it by floating the refrigerant canister in warm water. The heat will drive enough freon into the system to kick start the compressor. The water will get cold in a hurry that way, but if you keep changing it you can get the charge in pretty quickly. Jumping the low pressure switch can be hard on the compressor.
