Q: any suggestions gratefully recieved: with the idle being slightly higher I would suspect the temp sending unit. that is if it serves as the computer temp reading sensor, if not then look for the one that does operate with the computer. if not that then I would look for a vacuum leak

Q: Which bedding is better for my milk snake sand like their natural or what other substance can i use her is a web page of the sand which is brand better.: Keep in mind that although this is a semi-arid snake, it does not mean it lives on sand at least not like what you would end up with in a tank. They're used to hard, compact, dry earth, not the loose dune-like sand that you'd be putting in the tank. If you want to use sand, mix it 1:3 with soil or a ground coconut bedding like Eco-Earth, and throw in a bit of cypress mulch. This would make for a more natural look, and give it a bit more traction. For a basic bedding, I'd suggest either cypress mulch (actually, go with hardwood mulch if you can, since cypress mulch is not very environmentally friendly) or aspen shavings. I'm partial to the aspen, myself.

Q: Okay so I just got 3 fiddler crabs, 1 male and 2 females.I just bought a 10 gallon tank to keep them in, and I put sand in the tank on the land side and gravel on the water side, I started pouring water in and now the water is brown because of the sand.It's ZooMed Excavator clay burrowing substrate.I have 2 filters running in it right now to try and clear out the murkiness, but I want to know if it's okay to put the crabs in now, or if I should wait until the water is completely clear?I have a small pool with clear water in it that they can use but I am afraid of putting them in the tank because I don't know if they can swim in murky water.HELP PLEASE!: Murky water isn't going to hurt them. You know what is making it dirty. Not like its disgusting water. I don't see why it would be a problem.

Q: Is it possible to mine copper without using fossil fuels?: Sure, if you have lots of people with shovels and lots of people with buckets to carry the ore and lots of wood to burn to generate the heat required to roast the ore, etc etc. Primitive people were able to smelt Cu bearing ores to metal without using fossil fuels (the Bronze Age) but they could only do small batches at a time. These days it would be possible to do this all with electric power but most of our electric power comes from fossil fuels. Doing away completely with fossil fuels will take a long time.

Q: i saw an add for this and thought it looked pretty cool but was wondering if anyone had experience ?is there a high impaction risk even though it is hardened?if so is there a substrate that would get the same look across without the risk?thanks!: I have heard good and bad things about it. I use calcium sand, there is a very low risk of impaction. also white paper towels work. good luck

Q: I saw a questionable documentary about 25 years ago which showed the cross section of a geode with a perfectly formed ceramic disk partly embeded in the crystal and partly exposed in the gas cavity. Was that just a fake, or has anyone among the scientific community ever seen or heard that it is authenic. If so can you produce a link to a reputable site which has documented research that has been done on the object? Thanks: A load of crap....there is stuff like this all over used in an attempt to prove a young Earth - compatible with the Bible etc.
