- I have lived in Canada my whole life, having 4 seasons with snow, heat, rain, and cool weather is quite beautiful. Driving in snow is not that bad, you should get a set of snow tires, or at least all season radials for the best traction on snow/ice. Shoveling snow is not to bad, usually it is quite light and easy to move. Depending on the size of driveway you may consider getting a snow blower. The coldest it gets in Maryland is 21°F, which is not very cold at all. You will probably enjoy having a winter season, the kids love to play in the snow. And once you move into spring/summer you really appreciate the winter season. Good luck!
- Q: Does anyone know where I can find an official statistic for the number of homes in America that actually have a fire extinguisher? I've checked everywhere on the web so far. Thanks!
- It is stopped by absorbtion when it hits most surfaces. Shielding can be done by reflecting the radiant heat. So the answer to both questions is yes.
- Q: Hi, I'm donating my hair to Locks of Love on Friday. Don't get me wrong, I'm really excited but I'm also really nervous. Does anyone have any tips for parting? I know this may sound really weird but I'm really scared I'm going to look bad with my hair cut. Does anyone have any tips or hairstyles? I am Four foot eight (I know i'm short) and my hair goes down to my waist and will be cut at my shoulders. Do you have any hair styles? I know I kinda packed alot of questions in here, so sorry, but thanks.
- To make a reflective surface. select you're mirror poly and then in the material editor drop down to the maps tab in the diffuse add a flat mirror from you're material library make sure it's assigned and shown in the viewport now add geometry shape and move it in front of you're mirror. then render the scene you're object will show in you're mirror but this does not work in metal rayYou will have to increase you're specular and self illumination you don't need any other software!
- Q: Tonight while driving around 50-60 km/hr i struck a huge speed bump(around 1 feet high and 3 feet wide). The car literally got nudged and jumped, obviously making a noisy impact when landed. Its a suzuki. What things i need to get checked just to be on the safer side? Like alignment, struts, steering rod, tie rod, pipes, shocks?? Can it also damage the car frame? Although i drove home without any problems, I just need to know. thanks
- There are pros for both. Flares *more visible during bad whether like fog *brighter and more eye catching during the day *bright at night *visible for a good distance Triangles *are also bright and eye catching at night *also visible for a good distance at night *you don't have to replace like a flare *you can pack them up and reuse them as long as you don't break them *no chance of an accidental fire *and easy to set up There are a few reasons why the trucks use the triangles. *You don't have to replace them after each use. *If a truck is hauling Hazardous Materials it is against federal regulations to have flares on the truck *easy to set up and take down * and by federal regulations the trucks have to have some kind of warning device inside the truck *And they usual choose the triangles because they last longer, more the money.
- Q: I have a question for all you resin casters out there. I'm about to cast a clear epoxy resin piece with translucent pigments that will be exposed to long periods of UV (sunlight), and saltwater. I have read that a lot of clear epoxy resins 'break down' or go yellow with sun exposure over time so I would need a UV gel coat of some sort. Because it will be exposed to saltwater should I use a latex or urethane clear gel coat and would it be ok to do it as a second 1-2mm cast over the epoxy casting for the gel coat? I also want it to be quite durable to scratches and shock proof. So which would be my best option? Thanks in advance all.
- Well, yes and no. A mirror will reflect the light but will not give off a glow. That's the nice thing about a white wall because it reflects the light while also appearing to glow. What I would recommend is diffusing the light at the bottom of the shaft. This could just be a thin white sheet. Try it out, but I think you'll find that the sheet will make fill the room with a pleasant glow that pretty much fills the room. edit: As for the reflective tape, I'd stay away. It might make it brighter, but the light it will give off is not very pleasant. If it were pleasant, why would they use it on caution signs? The purpose is to simply draw attention to it.
- Q: I got new Sonic Turbo Bearing wash and it says to remove one shield before puting them in, what is the shieldis it the colored part of the bearing how do i take it off?
- INCORRECT! Stop, drop, WRAP, by rolling, you allow oxygen to the flames that are still burning, by wrapping you smother the flames and stop oxygen getting to them, stopping the fire. Water is a bad idea, leave them be once they are stopped, dropped and wrapped. Treat them as a normal patient, is their airway clear? are they breathing? are they conscious? When you're dialing for an ambulance make sure they know where the flames where, burn packs tend to be shaped for certain areas for the body, some first-aiders and first-responders who get to the scene before the paramedics don't carry all the burns packs necessary, so need to know which ones to pack. Keep your patient breathing, conscious and talking to you for as long as possible, you need to try and stop them going into shock. Don't talk to them about the fire, ask about their family, their job, their hobbies etc anything other than the fire. Try to keep them still, moving them will cause them unnecessary pain and could pop any blisters that have already formed.
- Q: I just watched this and think it's really cool. How do they morph people like this? What do you think about it?
- I have one of each in A-Bolts and either is fine. The stainless is a matte subdued finish (never seen a reflective stainless barrel on a hunting rifle). Your barrel/rifle material has really no bearing on accuracy, that is the combination on COL,powder and bullet weight, barrel harmonic. If you are using factory ammo in your stainless then you just found a good load for that rifle. I hand load and get Sub-MOA from both mine and most other reloading do same. Advantage stainless has is in harsh environments;it gives you a little more margin against corrosion, but you still have to care for the rifle and clean/oil/store properly. As for aesthetics, I like both looks in certain rifles;like the A-Bolt Stainless Stalker or Tikka Stainless/Laminate looks fine and a CZ 550 American,Ruger No.1 or Weatherby V looks best in blue/walnut. Game animals don't see colors the same as humans do,so having either makes no difference-would just look same to them.
