Properties:
Manganese has a melting point of 1245oC,specific gravity of 7.2.Ordinary manganese is a hard and brittle gray-white metal .It is chemically reactive and slowly decompose cold water. Manganese metal is ferromagnetic after special treatment.
Introduction
Electrolytic manganese metal flake is with silver gray metallic luster, hard and crisp, melting point 1245, boilling point 1962, with strong oxidation-reduction capacity. Specific gravity is 7.2. In comparison with metal manganese made by elctric warming, the electrogenerated mental manganese is of higher purity, superior quality and wider application.
Standard
YB/T 051--93
Application
Mainly used in steel-making, special steel-making, non-ferrous alloy (A-Mn alloy, Ti-Mn alloy, Mg-Mn alloy). It is also widely applied in chemical industry, electron undustry, medicine, aerospace, medicine. Also it is used in the high performance soft magnetization ferrite, high magnetic permeability ferrite, high saturated magnetic induction density low cost ferrite, high stable low cost ferrite.
Electrolytical manganese mainly used as an additive ,to increase the hardness , stiffness , and corrosion resistance of metal alloy applied to the field of steel smelting, non-ferrous alloy, Electronic Technology, chemical industry ,environmental protection ,space industry ,etc.

- Q: Are Metal Oxides (MgO, etc.) Acidic or alkali. And what bought metal hydroxides (KOH)
- Metals are weak on holding their electrons so in reactions they tend to lose them to non metals and form ionic compounds in which they are positively charged and the non metal negatively charged. There is the reactivity series of metals and any metal higher than another will displace it from its compounds, reactivity decreases from top to bottom.
- Q: why do metals carry more electrons than protons?because their smaller?more loosely bound?...or what??
- No such thing. Every band is contrived and ripping someone off in some way shape or form, even the bands that I like. I know that I don't care for the song that you linked. EDIT Did someone actually just call that death metal? This is so not death metal.
- Q: Here is the question:Someone left two containers on the lab bench but there were no labels on the bottles with the names of the chemicals inside. If one bottle contains a metal and one bottle contains a non-metal, how could you tell which is which?
- The periodic table on the left separates the elements into three groups: the metals, nonmetals and metalloids. Most elements are metals. They are typically shiny, good conductors of heat and electricity, have a high density, and only melt at high temperatures. Metals are ductile and malleable, so their shape can be easily changed into thin wires or sheets. Metals will corrode, gradually wearing away like rusting iron. Nonmetals, on the right side of the periodic table, are very different from metals. Their surface is dull and they are poor conductor of heat and electricity. As compared to metals, they have low density and will melt at low temperatures. The shape of a nonmetal cannot be changed easily as they tend to be brittle and will break. Elements that have properties of both metals and nonmetals are called metalloids. They can be shiny or dull and their shape is easily changed. Metalloids typically conduct heat and electricity better than nonmetals but not as well as metals
- Q: metal-clad swictgear
- Not counting traditional heavy metal, thash metal BQ1: Tim Ripper Owens BQ2: Bruce Dickinson BQ3: Iron Butterfly; as far as the original rendition of metal goes, they were indeed the first heavy metal band. But if we're talking about the benchmark for what metal would become by the '80s, then Black Sabbath.
- Q: CTeGaXePoAgCaGdWhich of these are non-metals?
- Metals crystallize but owing to their other characteristics the crystals are rarely discussed. Some metals such as gold are too soft to use if not alloyed. Alloying can deal with substitution of specific metal atoms into the matrix so one might achieve the same strength with a lighter density. Some alloys are made to resist wear by achieving hardness--Read more about (Rockwell Hardness). or precious metal as such as gold and alloys of 12, 14, 18 and 24 karat. Other alloys provide for a more uniform expansion or resistance to expansion. or resistance to corrosion, such as brass or a controlled corrosion such as the patina of bronze
- Q: and all the different types of metal such as Heavy Metal, Thrash Metal, Death Metal, Melodic Death Metal, Gore Metal, Black Metal, Power Metal, Progressive Metal, Industrial Metal, Doom Metal, Gothic Metal, Folk Metal, Viking Metal....yea it seems like alot of different types so if u please atleast explain some of them to me ive been curious about this so i would love to know the difference between them thanks=]
- Prog metal: Symphony X Dream Theater Mastodon Porcupine Tree Kamelot Tool Shadow Gallery Liquid Tension Experiment Andromeda Pain of Salvation Riverside Cynic (later) Tech/prog death: Atheist Nile Opeth Decapitated Gojira Suffocation Obscura Born of Osiris The Contortionist Cynic (early) @Erik Hatechapel: Oh please, even after all the arguments I've had thrown at me, I fail to see how Opeth aren't death metal. They still use death growls, they still use blast beats, they still use down-tuned guitars (albeit more so on their Ghost Reveries album), they're still death metal to me. That and the fact that you guys fight over their genre doesn't leave me convinced either. Now I'm not gonna argue with you, alright? That'd pretty pointless anyway since we're not gonna come to an agreement. And thanks for the TD, just because my opinion isn't yours. Grow up and get over it.
- Q: and which is most reactive, metals- matalloids- non metals- noble gases.so therefore on the periodic table, does it get more reactive on the right side than the left as the atomic radius decreses??
- Glam Metal would be: Bon Jovi Def Leppard Whitesnake Europe Guns N Roses
- Q: i was listening metal and rock since i was 5...i loved it so much...but there is one thing that i just couldn't understand...really quot;what is the difference between death and heavy metal??quot; i am sure that death metal have a lot of screaming in every song, but i just cannot figure that out!.. :P thank again..
- Metal working is, generically, the permanent deformation of a piece of metal. Can be done many different ways. Hot working is defined as working the metal at the recrystallization temperature (the temperature at which a cold worked structure will be fully recrystallized in 1 hour). As a rule of thumb, the rexstal temp is one half the absolute melting point for pure metals (the homologous temperature). This rule of thumb can be off significantly when you are dealing with alloys, particularly highly alloyed compositions. In these cases, the alloying can increase the recrystallization temperature and, therefore, require higher temperatures to achieve hot working. Hope this helps.
- Q: This is my Physics homework and I'm stuck because I was ill for a few lessons.Whole question: ''Compare the similarities and differences between the process of conduction in metals and non-metals.''
- Metals will weaken acids so the pH will get higher. e.g. dilute HCl pH =1 add metal e.g. magnesium pH MgCl2 solution = 7
- Q: I'm a 17 year old boy and I love Death metal..I mean, I only know that because some of my songs are listed as Death Metal..What's the difference between it all? I'd like to know what I enjoy more. This is what I listen to.
- All metals, really. It's more a question of size, and the region of space where the metal piece cuts the lines of flux. To a metal detector, a thin loop of metal (like many belt buckles) is just as big as a solid hunk of metal covering the same area. Get a belt with a small buckle, of whatever metal. I'll suggest that you wear a MedicAlert bracelet, with a leather or fabric band, instead of a metal necklace.
