Q: I have 1 male and 3 females, and I have changed the vermiculite out in the past, not anymore trying not to distrube the eggs.
I would advise not to touch them.and make it less than 83. After that keep trying again. It has nothing to do with the male or female or with u.its in the genes just sit there, Keep trying, And wait along
Q: ok so my leopard gecko will be laying eggs soon. i know that you have to keep the vermiculite damp for the eggs..but how do i do that? do i just wet it once or mist it all the time with the eggs still in there?
Vermiculite an Perlite
Q: What does vermiculite look like?
Vermiculite is a kind of clay mineral similar to montmorillonite, which is a layered structure of silicate. Usually formed by hydrothermal alteration or weathering of biotite. It sometimes appears as large biotite (this is the biotite illusion of vermiculite) and sometimes becomes slightly soil like. When the vermiculite is heated to 300 degrees centigrade, it expands 20 times and bends. This is a bit like a leech vermiculite (commonly known as the leech), so it has such a name. Vermiculite is usually brown, yellow, dark green, oil like luster, heated to gray. Vermiculite can be used as building materials, adsorbents, fire insulation materials, mechanical lubricants, soil amendments, and so on. It has a wide range of uses.
Q: how much they cost, their needs, etc anything would be appreciated.I‘m just starting my research on them as I think I might be interested )What is the minimum size tank they need??
they cost near 40-50 bucks
Q: .laid in or do i have to use vermiculite? obviously in the wild the eggs would be layed in the soil and left, so isn‘t this viable as long as constant temps are kept?ALSO, is it possible to tell if the eggs are fertilised or not? because i recently got my female 2/3 months ago and put her in with my male and i‘m not sure if they had much contact. They copulated once but his hemi penis didn‘t really look like it was going anywhere inside the female, does it need to do this or would it be a case of a simple ‘rub‘ thankyou for any help! :)
the female will take no part in incubating the eggs. She trusts the soil to do that for her. The soil would have to stay a constant temp for hatching water dragon eggs. The humidity has to stay fairly constant as well. As far as care for the eggs, don't turn them. When the egg is laid the embryo inside attaches to the egg wall. If you turn or tilt the eggs too much the baby inside drowns. I would find a good web site for hatching reptile eggs and follow the directions to the word. After so many weeks of the incubation length you might be able to candle the eggs.
Q: For a stem cutting of pothos is it best to put the cutting in vermiculite or potting soil and why. Also should you use rooting hormone and why.
pothos are easy, if its for commercial output use the hormone, I would just use the potting soil, maybe eliminate a step in pruduction
Q: How to apply the quota of cement and vermiculite insulation layer?
The present price is the separation of quantity and price. Here, the amount consumed. The consumption of fixed consumption is only the price of a natural machine. The corresponding "04 consumption quota" in Guizhou."Consumption corresponding to the so-called price is fixed base price, respectively, corresponding to the combination of talent prices. The corresponding books, such as "Guizhou city 08 price list", because different regions of the price list is not the sameFor example, we want to build a brick wall now 1.3 cubic meters of water mixing, Lane corresponding to the fixed quota items such as 3-1, the consumer can find the corresponding item is brick mixing.
Q: I put a bunch of vermiculite (that is probably spelled wrong.) in a pot and then watered it down until the water was as deep as the vermiculite, then dipped the stems of the clippings in some root growth powder and stuck the stems in the vermiculite, I don‘t think the leaves were touching the wet vermiculite, but after a little over a weak the clippings were basicly reduced to slime. what went wrong?? was there to much water for them??? Was the vermiculite to much for the leaves?? I know that their leaves are very sensitive to water on them, but I am pretty sure they weren‘t touching the vermiculite/water mix. :S
it could be wonderful. African violets are very easy to root that in case you preserve the entire leaf in touch with the rooting medium new vegetation will strengthen all alongside the side. only decrease the broken area off, and save the piece you have been rooting comparable to it grew to become into. you could attempt to additionally root the area you decrease off, yet you will have save it in close touch with the soil, moist in any respect cases, and out of direct photograph voltaic till this is properly well-known.
Q: I have made a few PF Cakes out of vermiculite, brown rye flour, in a few glass jars and a syringe of mushroom spores.(in Aug.) I followed all of the steps, gave birth and grew a few batches of mushrooms, but I don‘t like them. Can I buy a different strain of mushroom spores and plant them and grow them on the cakes I have already birthed and cultivated a few times? Instead of having to make a PF cake from the beginning with the brown rye flour.
That will work, unless the previous mushrooms have matured and deposited some spores in the medium. That would mix the varieties and you wouldn't have a clean start. New cakes would work the best since the nutrients are not depleted.
Q: I've heard that Perlite is used instead of soil mixture. Please help.
What you are proposing to do with your ingredients doesn't sound reasonable and will be a waste. That's if I understand what you want to do with them. If you just mix the bone meal, blood meal and potting mix, they don't add up to 15/30/30 and they are the only ingredients that have a nutrient value. Then trying to make them all into a water mix, along with vermiculite and perlite, which definitely will never dissolve, just sounds like a soupy mess and loss of your ingredients. You would be better off to buy a water soluable fertilizer like Miracle Gro or Peters and use that.
