 Vermiculite

 Vermiculite Sound Insulating Board

Product Characteristic

1. Soundproof and helps reduce noise levels

Because of its unique honeycomb structure its performance in soundproofing is excellent. It ensures that the surrounding room is quiet and peaceful, giving a calm feel to a room.

Vermiculite may be thin and lightweight, but this does not affect its soundproofing performance.

2. Heat insulating and energy conservating

Again, because of its structure, its thermal properties help keep a buildings’ rooms warm because it is efficient, envrionmentally friendly, and cost effective.

Q: Are perlite and vermiculite fertile?
The expansion effect of vermiculite in Horticulture: vermiculite have very strong water absorption, can effectively promote plant root growth and seedling growth is stable. Provide water and nutrients necessary for plant growth for long periods of time and maintain the stability of root sun temperature. At the same time, the vermiculite can make the crops get plenty of water and minerals from the early growth stage, and promote the rapid growth of plants and increase the yield. It can be concluded that vermiculite has a relatively large fertility, at least stronger than traditional soil.
Q: also what time do bearded dragons lay eggs in the year
We use the type of styrofoam box in which fish are delivered to aquarium stores and place a thermostatically controlled heat mat at the bottom, with plastic dishes containing damp vermiculite (and the eggs) on a wire rack supported about a third of the way up the box (resting on a couple of half house-bricks!) The boxes we use are the size described here: www.aquamania .uk/product.asp?P. and we make a couple of air holes in the top, and another couple in the sides. We use a humidity sensor to ensure that the levels are appropriate for the type of eggs we're incubating (adding sponge-filled dishes of water will increase the humidity - while increasing number of vents will decrease it) and we also have a long glass thermometer pushed through the lid, with the bulb positioned to give a second visual monitor of the temperature at the same level as the eggs (the first being the temperature controller we use for the on-off control of the heat mat, as that has a digital display and alarm functionality.)
Q: what exactly is perlite and vermiculite?
Double check this but I believe there should be oil, gas and other mineral resources based upon it once being much warmer there. However it is impractical to exploit these.
Q: I'm in possession of Japanese mini cakes/pastries that are filled with some kind of seed/bean paste.The clear plastic wrapper has a smaller white packet affixed to the inside, and once I open the outer wrapper, this white packet immediately begins heating itself.It doesn't get too hot, just a few degrees above body temperature, I'd say.Does anyone know what this is, what activates it, and what its purpose might be?The writing on the wrapper is all Japanese except for the words quot;Seiyo Kyujitsuquot; and quot;Hakata Torimon.quot;
Yeah, I don't do an exact ratio... I add enough so that it's not sopping wet. You'll be able to tell. It'll be moist enough so that it's not falling out of your hand, but it won't be dripping. Unless you have a good digital scale, you won't be able to do the ratio as it's by weight, not by volume. Generally this ratio is about 1:1 up to 1:4 of vermiculite to water. I prefer to make it less wet and add some if needed.
Q: I'm doing a science fair project.(what material absorb water.?
You might consider switching the substrate in the incubator to vermiculite rather then using moss. Vermiculite and perlite are the two main recommended substrates for incubation. They surround the eggs better and retain moisture reliably. Wet the vermiculite and then squeeze out as much water as you can by hand. The consistency that you are left with is what you want. Damp enough for the pieces to slightly stick together. I always incubate my corns with an a lid on the egg container with small air holes. There is often enough condensation produced to keep the medium moist through-out the incubation period but occasionally it does have to be re-moistened slightly. In that case lightly drip some water on the substrate in between the eggs. Don't wet the eggs themselves. The hatchlings should be separated from each other to avoid cannibilism and keep track of feeding. Deli containers are ideal, any take-out restaurant in your neighbourhood would likely be willing to sell you enough to house your clutch.
Q: In order to save money, live green and eat healthier (loose weight) I want to start an edible garden on my back deck. Unfortunately, I have a bit of a black thumb, so I need to know which fruits, berries and vegetables grow best in pots. Any ideas ?
Try some cut and come again salad leaves. They are usually sold as seeds mixed with vermiculite so that you can spread them on a pot with all purpose compost and they will grow, quite quickly. Dwarf french beans, in another pot. Fruit is hard to grow this way but there are special pots for strawberries. You do not say where you are because it depends on the weather where you are, what you can grow. Some things are 'delicate' like tomatoes. There are varieties which will grow out doors in cool northern hemisphere so long as there is no chance or any frost. People grow peas upside down from hanging baskets, these can be snacked on, straight from the pod. If you live in a warm area peppers and chillis are happy in big pots. Courgettes will grow on very rich soil, in a pot. You will never grow enough to feed yourself from pots, plants need to have room to spread and want to be in deep soil to grow properly, but you can play at it and enjoy the taste of freshness. Forget trees, they are available for patio growing but will yield very little for the outlay. If you add where you live exactly, it will be more helpful to advise.
Q: I want THE BEST substrate for leopard gecko incubation. But, I don't want to spend a lot. I heard vermiculite can cause illnesses. Is that true? Which one should I use? Thank you!!!!
perlite
Q: It was really squishy but there were no dents and i noticed it a little bit ago. So i set up my incubator and its in there. It's on on 87 now. I put it in vermiculite ( not too wet cuz i didnt want it to get moldy or anything because it was already wet and suishy.) Will it hatch?
Perlite is actually preferred by many breeders over vermiculite. Just moisten it until it just barely doesn't drip when squeezed and put a slight dry layer right underneath the eggs. Also do NOT buy miracle grow perlite or other brands that put fertilizers in the perlite.
Q: I wanted to mist the vermiculite but by accident the eggs got a little damp. Is that okay? And also, do they sit at the top of the vermiculite or do they have to be buried?
Vermiculite Pool Bottom
Q: i want to know whats written on the backside of the potting soil bag the ingredients??
If she hasn't been with a male for a while the eggs are not going to have anything inside the eggs....hope this helps.
