Q: Butterfly valve D41W-1, 41, W, 1, respectively, what does that mean?
D--- stands for butterfly valves; 4--- refers to the form of flange connections; 1--- refers to the valve stem and disc in the center of the valve line, without eccentricity; w--- refers to the valve seat material and body material is the same, usually carbon steel. The final 1--- refers to the nominal pressure of 1 kg / cm2.
Q: I got my timing belt done on a 1999 Civic Si on September 26 @ 113,699 miles. at 116,9xx miles I bent a valve on my third cylinder. How likely is it that the timing belt is the reason why this happened? I heard that if the timing belt is a tooth or so off, it could bend a valve. So is it likely that this could have happened? Anyway to check?
COMPRESSION TEST OR CHECK ALL TIMING MARKS TO SEE IF THEY ARE IN ORDER
Q: Are fire fighting signal valves and signal butterfly valves the same thing?
The same nature: both can open and close, there is also information back fed.Signal valves are collectively referred to as signal butterfly valves.
Q: What's the difference between a clip type turbine butterfly valve and a flanged turbine butterfly valve?
For clip butterfly valves, there are no flanges at the ends of the butterfly valve. There are only a few guide bolts. The valve is connected with the end flange with a set of bolts / nuts.In contrast, the demolition to facilitate some of the lower cost of the valve, but the drawback is that a sealing surface problems, the two sealing surfaces have to be taken apart.Flange butterfly valve at both ends of the flange, and pipe flange connection. The seal is relatively more reliable, but the valve is of relatively high cost.
Q: What are the advantages of butterfly valves?
Butterfly valve, also known as shutter valve, its advantages are:A. has a large circulation capacity and is about 1.2 times the same size as two seat valves;
Q: How warm is the PTFE butterfly valve?
Ordinary PTFE clip butterfly valve normal temperature tolerance of about 120 degrees, instantly to about 150 degrees
Q: What is the working principle of the electric butterfly valve, and what's the difference between the butterfly valve and the butterfly valve?
General large bore turbine. What is the difference between worm gear pair butterfly valve and center line worm gear butterfly valve? The structure is the same, but the model is different, the central line refers to the butterfly valve, an eccentric structure (371), the clip butterfly valve can do 371, you can do 373, etc.. In more detail, the clamp can be a midline type, 1 single eccentric, 2 double eccentric, 3 is 371372373 midline, then it can be flange connection, it can also be a pair of clamp connection
Q: How to control the single acting pneumatic butterfly valve?
Single acting pneumatic butterfly valve can be divided into gas open type and gas closed type, which is usually called "normally closed" and "normally open". This is very critical. The single feature pneumatic butterfly valve is the biggest feature of its spring reset function, when the loss of gas or sudden failure, you can automatically restore the original state. So it's important to open the air or air this time.
Q: I need a valve cover gasket replacement because mine is leaking a tremendous amount of oil. The mechanic says it will cost about $269.00 plus tax. I wanted to make sure this figure was the average since I do not know a lot about cars. My car is a Mitsubishi Diamante 2001.
The gasket set is probably $ 20, so double that to $ 40..... 270 - 40 is 230, divided by 2 man-hours, which is the usually dealership minimum, gives $ 115 an hour. I DON'T THINK SO !!!! Unless you live in Hawaii where everything is expensive, that sounds steep.... real steep. Dealers around here get like $ 85 an hour, so two hours is 170, plus 40 is 210 bucks; Still killer money for the dealer..... I'd question that estimate ask if there is some extraordinary challenge to working on your car. It is possible there are accessories mounted over the valve cover that will have to be moved, or that's it's a canted V-6 with one valve cover tucked up against the fire wall. Be nice, smile, ask questions.... Maybe even have someone show you what has to be moved on your engine to get at the valve cover(s). If you're going to pay that much $$$, you should learn something, also.
Q: I have a good set of #142 Pontiac heads with small diameter valves. I want to have the heads enlarged to accept the larger Pontiac valves, and I have the larger exhaust valves out of #13 heads and the larger intakes from 6X8 heads. The valves appear ok and shiny on the stems
Roll the valves by the stems on a perfectly flat table. If there is no wobble, your valves are most likely not bent. Take them to a machine shop and have them checked for imperfections and reground and they'll be good as new.
