- Q:I'm new at drywall installation. I was wondering which to sheetrock first. The ceiling or the walls. Does the ceiling then rest on the walls(sheetrock)?Thanks.
- Yes... do the ceilings first then the walls.. it is to make the joints seal better when you fill them in with the mud

- As long as you attach the the TV mount to a stud, I would not try and mount it just into the plaster borad, will not support the weight.
- Q:It doesn't mention the length, but I need it to be at least 3 inches long. Would this one work?
- That one will do the trick if it is three inches long. For all intents and purposes, plasterboard and dry wall are the same thing. Remember, however, if the think you are sticking in is a screw that is 3/16ths, you don't want to use a 3/16 drill, use one smaller so the threads have something to grab.
- Q:I live in a flat and have constant leaks coming through my ceiling, there is a flat above me. The problems had previously came from the guttering on the roof not being cleaned properly and when it rained the water would leak in to the flat throught the ceiling and electrical sockets. The ceiling is plasterboard and my landlord doesnt seem to be fixing the problem properly, when they do come in they let it dry put a skim of poly filer over bits thast are coming off and repaint over it... even though you can still see the lines of the plasterboard coming through. Does anyone know how my landlord should be doing this properly so i can get this sorted as it hasnt been raining and i know have leaks again this morning with bubbles in the ceiling.
- Its not a big issue, if your landlord is not willing to fix this problem, you can do it by yourself, there are lots of online resources from where you can choose a good product and apply it on your roof, i am also going to recommend a link and hoping it can be helpful for you, check out the link in the source box.

- Generally around 1800kg / m?. Different manufacturers, different brands, the proportion is not the same.
- Q:I recently had my bathroom refurbished and the installer put new plasterboard on the ceiling. I thought he would have skimmed it with some plaster but he tells me that they don't do that now and you can paint direct onto the plasterboard. As the outer coat of plasterboard seems to be a type of paper I am a bit worried about painting direct onto the plasterboard. Any views, hints etc.
- use primer first then paint. the primer will absorb into the plasterboard coating the board first. using primer will help save on the paint you will be using. you will probably have to do two-three coats since you have virgin boards. good luck!!!

- Q:i have some thin wavy mirrors attached to a painted plasterboard wall using 'no nails ultra' glue. any ideas on how to remove the mirrors without damaging the wall?
- If they were glued using a strong adhesive, there probably isn't any way to get them down without damaging the wall. Mirrors should NEVER be glued to the wall.
