Is he trying to rip me off cause I'm a girl by the way? Anyways, I didn't get it done cause it needed something else too and I didn't have enough money so I said I would be back in two weeks. So I called the dealership to inquire about the price and I asked the parts guy for a price on valve gaskets and he was like, I don't know what you mean, we have valve cover gaskets but nothing says just valve gaskets? I told him to give me the price anyways, thinking I would ask my brother (who hasn't tried to help me anyways) and it was $60.00 for both (I need two). How can this be if the other guy was charging me $250.00 for different parts? Help!!! Frustrated and confused, I don't know anything about cars :(

When water is heated it expands and the more it is heated the more volume it will need to expand. Since the water heater and the piping are not designed to expand the water only has one place to go (well two if count the faucet) and that is out the TP valve. This problem is not uncommon and the solution is to have an expansion tank installed on the hot water heater in the piping near the tank.

It appears to be possibly a valve for a radial aircraft engine as it looks very similar to ones i've seen used in Pratt+Whitney R3350's etc. It looks like it could probably date to the 1940's up thru the 1950's. Look for a Part Number stamped on the valve or on the box. After WW2 there were all kinds of manufacturers making parts for airplanes. Many were gobbled up by competitors, converted to manufacturing other products or went out of business altogether. - You could use a socket and breaker bar on the bolt on the end of the crankshaft to slowly and carefully rotate the engine by hand. But if the valve is all the way down into the cylinder, the only fix is to remove the cylinder head. If you have been asking for days, maybe, just maybe, you are in over your head. Bring the car to a reputable mechanic and pay to have it repaired. Repeating the same question obviously isn't helping at all. All you are accomplishing is to irritate the people here on Yahoo Answers.
