Q: How do you explain the pipe joint?
The fittings are expressed in part according to the British system
Q: How would i go about fixing my broken door lock for my civic? the door handle assembly itself pops out all the time although the door itself works. i can see that the back part of the lock where you insert the key on the inside has a plastic piece that is broken off, the door locks from the inside but i just want to know where i could get it fixed or if i can do it myself. and how would i fix the assembly from coming out every time i open my door?
Just leave the windows down the neighborhood cats will take care of the rest
Q: I keep seeing those movies where the killer has a car that is filled up with water on the inside and their victim is inside dead as if they were trapped inside the car and drown. But the car isn't submerged in a pool or lake it is as if the killer put a hose in it and drown them. Can it be so simply done or do you have to water seal your car get all fancy like that? Just the random thought of the day.
The plumbing is usually only as good as the plumber's work. I've used both pex and PVC and had equal success with both. Assuming we are doing residential plumbing, and sticking with 1/2-3/4 pipe, I prefer pex and push on fittings at work because I can do the work very quickly plus I don't have to worry about drying time to put pressure on the lines. If I were going to do this work in my home, I'd definitely go with PVC because it's much cheaper. The trade off is time vs. money. If time is more precious, go with PEX, if cost is more of a factor, go with PVC. Obviously do your drain lines and stacks in PVC. PVC cement is more or less universal-just make sure you use cement meant for CPVC and PVC and use with PVC primer.
Q: where can i get something like this?
*Please / *For a 100 NB pipe and for 1 meter of length the pressure drop will be 0.778 bar considering turbulent flow.
Q: I was talking to this jerk online, and I said I didn't want to date someone who felt the way he did about an important issue. He said I didn't realize you were such a lightning rod. What does that mean?
Just change the end fittings where they attach with a 3/4 to 1 adapter. Ideally, you should use a sweat fitting, but since you aren't *soldering friendly* you could use one of the newer styles such as what in in the link. That one is a *Sharkbite* fitting that you can get at the Home depot, but Lowe's carries their own version called *Gatorbite* and there are other non soldering ways to do it as well, such as compression fittings as shown in the second link. Q: What was the practicle application of the discovery of electricity by Benjamin Franklin after the kite experiment?
I like Oatey brand Regular clear Advanced cement for PVC. Use a PVC primer first which is usually purple let dry then using the applicator supplied in the can of cement apply a thin even layer to the outside of the pipe and then to the inside of the fitting. Working time is around 30-45 seconds. Insert the pipe into the fitting than give it a half turn. Using excessive amounts of cement is not better. The even layer you have applied will be evenly distributed with the turn of the fitting. GL
Q: What's the meaning of the plumbing PVC pipe joint specification "1/2" "X12" and "1/2" "x18"?
First specification 1/2 "X12": 1/2 inches in diameter and 12 inches in length.Second specifications 1/2 "x18": 1/2 inches in diameter and 18 inches in length.
Q: I was watching Raw tonight and the distraction job that Jericho provided for the Shield seemed a little obvious. I've seen heel turns and they're usually preceded by some mis-fortunate miscommunication that costs the face in some way. Perhaps this is a way to start the feud between Jericho and Ryback? BQ: They're promoting a new wrestler Fandango. I don't know about you, but I think of the movie site when I see it. Seems as though this new gimmick is going to be a littleweak. Do you agree or disagree?
It has much less to do with loss of religion and greater to do with protection standards. A construction that's used as a amassing place has to fulfill specific protection standards. a million. It desires to have adequate air flow. 2. It desires to have adequate doors that human beings can evacuate in an emergancy. 3. It has to have hearth extinguishers. 4. There must be a minimum of a hassle-loose first help equipment on the premises. 5. It desires a lightning rod. 6. The construction desires to be structurally sound. with out those standards, everywhere of public assembly would be forcibly closed via regulation. church homes at the instant are not exempt.
Q: Every time I try to broil steaks, my smoke detector goes off. If I close the oven door, then the steaks burn. Mostly I just have to stand under the detector with a broom, waving the invisible smoke away until the steaks are cooked, and then I'm too tired to eat them. Any thoughts?
Plumbers putty won't prevent a leak. Escaping water will be under pressure that putty like that won't hold. Pex pipe is very good stuff and if it's not leaking now under pressure it's not going to. If you won't to play it safe though you could wrap it all in a heavy gauge plastic sheeting . Then funnel that sheeting into a pipe that you run to the crawlspace or basement if you have one. If you're on a slab foundation you have to get creative as to where to route such a pipe. Still I think you're very safe. Pex pipe and the fittings are very reliable.
Q: I am doing resin casting jewelry and found some nice small pictures I would like to embed but I forgot to get the decoupage material (hodge podge) you have to coat the pics with to embed them. Is there a substitute like lacquer or clear varnish I can coat them with. The nearest place that sells the decoupage material is over 80 miles away and has no mail order.
To bad your lease doesn't say anything about appliances. If you rent a place and they are there, the landlord would be responsible for repairs. Your landlord is right though, they don't have to supply appliances.
