Q: I bought rechargeable batteries for my Nikon but I don't want to rely on those to last the whole time I'm gone. The rechargeable ones WILL already be in my Nikon. But how do I pack extra AA batteries? I have the Kirkland brand ones that AREN'T individually packed.
I wouldn't worry about it. I always bring my camera with an extra battery or two in the camera case that stay in my backpack. No one has ever questioned it. I even have a spare AAA battery floating around the same backpack, again never questioned. I fly about 3 times a month domestically and I think it would have come up by now if it were an issue. I also brought extras for my Motorola Razor, when I still had it and same story.
Q: hii have a sony laptop and the battery is TERRIBLE lasting at most 30 mins. at uni and will use the laptop in lectures etc i will need to be able to use laptop without it being plugged in. i have been told that you can get external batteries that will last like 4 or so hours. does anyone recomend one?thanks
yea those external batteries work try it
Q: How do I calculate the number of UPS delay battery packs?
The three Radix 100AH batteries are configured for 600W equipment (100AH x 3 X 12V) / 600W X 0.7 = 4.2H (hours).
Q: Three and 10 string battery pack What does it mean?
Three and three batteries is completely coincide, three positive together with three negative together.
Q: i heard there was a way to fix a 18 volt cordless battery that wont hold a charge anymore.
contact Bosch and buy a new battery pack.
Q: I would like to run this motor intermittently using a portable drill-type rechargeable battery pack, maybe lithium-ion. How long could I expect it to function with say a 30 percent on/70 percent off duty cycle before it drains the battery?
It has been my observation that cells used for building battery packs for things like cordless drills all seem to have about 2000-3000 mAH capacities. Of course the size and number of cells in a 12 volt (nominal) pack will vary with the chemistry. Your motor draws a fraction of the current that a drill motor under load would use. At a 30% duty cycle, your motor would average .09 amps or 90 mA. You could reasonably expect about 20 hours of use from a fully charged battery in good condition without fully depleting it. Don
Q: I have a Kin 2 phone by verizon and it has purple x's on the battery pack. Does the purple x's mean water damage or not???
Yeah it means water damage. That way if you try to bring it back and replace the phone, they'll know how you ruined it.
Q: Here are links to pictures of my Worx Battery (18V 1.7Ah) and its accompanying charger unit. The battery is for the Worx 10-inch 18V Cordless Grass Trimmer
You could just use a power resistor, but a light bulb shows you that it has discharged. You can probably find 18 volt bulbs as replacements for the flashlight sold to use 18 volt packs from power tools like yours, or just get 24 volt bulbs sold for trucks or connect two 12 volt bulbs in series.
Q: If i made a battery pack of 13 batteries, each 3.7V 4000mAh in series, then i would get a battery pack output of 48.1V 4000mAh (assuming thats correct).my question is, how would i go about charging the pack? or bertter put, what kind of charger should i be looking for to safley charge the pack?im clueless on how to go about charging it, any advice would help, thanks.
I'm not sure either. A thermal cutoff is a good idea for lithium ion cells stops (or greatly reduces) the charging when the cells heat to 40 degrees c 104 f or there abouts. Tesla motor car has a separate fuse for each of the 8000 cells. A piece of fine wire about 1 centimeter long in series with each cell may be an adequate fuse. One fuse, 10 amp slow blow is likely ok as all your cells are in series. Likely 5 amps of charging current is ok up to 80% of full charge or when the first cell has a voltage of 5 volts, while charging. A fan to keep the cells cool will be helpful at high charging rates. A resistor that increases from 1/10 ohm to one ohm, when it heats to 110 f while touching each cell, might be ok. I think, the 50 volts at 400 milliamps is ok, if you don't mind 6 hours to half charge, and you remember to stop charging at 20 hours, or sooner. Unlike nicd, lithium ion cells are ok about partial charging, but deteriate or worse if over discharged, or over charged. Neil
Q: I have an XBOX 360 battery pack, and it doe's not work. when ever I put the charger on the controller, the controller just does nothing, but the controller does work, but when I leave for a long time, it's still not charged. What can I do ?
you may need to bring it to gamestop or where ever you got it and they might try to fix it
