Q: I am considering getting my almost 3 year old a new twin-size or set of bunk beds. I'm not sure if anyone has had experience with younger children and bunk beds and if it was good/bad? Any problems going from toddler size to twin size?: Well, My son never liked to sleep in a toddler bed, and it was a waste of money when we bought that 5 in 1 crib, we went out and bought him a twin sized bed. it's big and he has been sleeping in it since he was 13 months, he is now 27 months. About bunk beds, I would wait until the child is 6 or 7 for bunk beds. My brother jumped off his bunk bed and broke his collarbone. My sister and I slept in bunk beds while we were in Spain, and she even rolled off the top with the protector on and secure, and fell to the ground. It's not safe at all. I would never trust a 3 yr old to play in his room , if he had a bunkbed, he will climb even if you try to take the stairs away, he will try. It's not a good idea. Buy the boy his favorite character sheets. My son loves Thomas the tank engine and loves going to sleep.

Q: i'm redoing my room and i currently have a large couch that has a pullout bed, and a twin bed. i'm going to take them both out and replace it with either a day bed or a futon. whats the best idea/which is the most comfortable?: Either can be more or less comfortable depending on the mattress. Any kind of mattress that can go on a bed is available as a futon mattress. Personally, I'd vote futon for the sleeping space. A full size folds up to the space of a daybed, but lets out bigger.

Q: I bought an unnecessarily extravagant bedding set, and it looks great but it doesn't feel very practical. None of the other nice bedding sets I looked at really did either. My guess is that its meant only to look nice, so my question is I guess, traditionaly, what are all the pieces a bedding set could have and how are you supposed to use them? Am I supposed to have a separate comforter to actually use and roll the other one to the foot of the bed at night? ( I've seen people on tv that do that) it came with this coverlet thing, but its pretty and uncomfortable too...the sheets are really nice and comfy though ... so in the perfect and ideal setting, how would all of this function?: Starting with the box spring covered with a bed skirt, then mattress, then a mattress pad, fitted sheet, flat sheet, blanket. (appropriate weight for the season.) When the bed is made it is topped with a decorative comforter finished with throw pillows. The decorative comforter is the same as a bedspread in this case and is generally for show and should be removed before going to bed.

Q: WHAT DO BED BUGS DO?: dont be too afraid of these critters. ur bound to have a few in the carpet of yoru own bedroom. bedbugs are everywhere and they are nearly impossible to get rid of unless u fumegate ur whole house. I doubt households would have many bedbugs, but hotels etc would have heaps. they are nocturnal and sense by heat, at night they find their way to u and suck your blood. only a few types of these bugs leave a bite. i think the worst bug (which is very rare) is the kiss beetle, they have been known to incapacitate someone. but do not be scared of that because they are RARE. the common bed bug looks like a really small tick or mite.
