Q: What machinery is used to make sugar? From digging the ground to harvesting.......
Sugar is obtained from a corn-like cane that grows in tropical places, It is planted from small cut portions of the cane into the soil already prepared and fertilized, when the canes get as high as 6 feet, and the leaves start to get yellow, is harvested, in many places its burnt to get ready of the leaves with sharp cutting edges and some dangerous snakes that usually nest in the plantations. The cane itself as is full with sweet liquid doesn't burn and is collected and carried to the mill. The first part of the extraction is to pass the canes through a press of rollers that press the syrup out, keeping the dry cane to be used for fuel to use in the boilers. The syrup is boiled and the water is removed leaving a very dense paste that is then dried with hot air to get raw sugar in large crumbs, this crums are milled to get what is known as brown sugar in cystaline form. The brown sugar doesn't have any chemicals and is almost 100% from dried syrup. From the brown sugar, is processed white sugar by means of adding some chemicals to whiten and remove the sugar cane flavor that comes with the original syrup. The final product is what we buy at the store. The boilers designed for sugar mills are unique for they are able to work with the dry cane as with oil, reducing considerably the cost of operation. There are some by-products very important that make sugar mills a great industry, the process of drying produce also a burned taste sediment called molasses high in calories that is also comercialized as stock food.
Q: I want to buy a machine like the one above to start a business. Does anyone know where I can buy one?
Look for concrete saws. They cut rock as well. There's a wide variety available. The link below is one place to start.
Q: Can you please just name the piece of machinery they used and in what mission? I want to be able to make my mom proud that I did my own work. Please help me?Here is the full question:Research a tool or a piece of machinery that scientists have used on a space mission. With your knowledge of simple machines, specifically describe how it was used to collect data for this mission. Include a diagram or picture (if possible) and be sure to list what mission this machine or tool was used on.
Do you own work and make her proud Go to Wikipedia and look up the moon missions and read about the equipment they used and pick one that you can explain its operations - like gripper, etc.
Q: ...machinery?
Legally. No. Unfortunately for him, most states are employment-at-will states. Neither employer nor employee are obligated to give notice or reason for terminating employment. Unless they told him that was the reason he was being fired and/or he has proof to back it up, he won't likely stand a chance at winning a wrongful termination suit against the company. Of course, when in doubt, he should seek consultation with a licensed, local attorney experience in Employment Law.
Q: Does Santa Claus use any modern machinery in his workshop?
No, santa is all about tradition and doing things the old way. He doesn't need to update as the elves have multiplied over the years there is no shortage of hands to do the work.
Q: Hi, i'm 16 years old, and you're supposed to be 18 to operate a machine. My Dad OWNS a business and does welding/fabrication and all of that, and he was thinking that since he owns the business, and i'm his son, that legally, i can work at a lower age than 18? does anybody know if i would be able to work for my father at age 16? Thanks!
I grew up in the same situation and always was called a laborer even though I was doing some welding and learning the art of fabrication. I am not sure of the law but I say if you are interested in doing it, start as soon as you can and listen to as much knowledge as you can.
Q: How many types of casting machinery?
You have sand casting, lost wax casting, injection casting, cuttlebone casting, vacuum casting, centrifugal casting, and others, and each of those involves several machines for specific purposes. So you need to get specific about your question.
Q: thanks
And the list with machines: okorder
Q: I know during the late 1800's or early 1900's gigantic farm machinery was in use. However, I'm having trouble finding information about it online. When I say big I mean like house sized machinery that moved to take care of huge fields. Know where I can find any information on this?
I think you are mistaken about the size. From what I've seen on cable and various museums, steam and later gasoline farm implements were very modest in size. But, you are welcome to keep looking.
Q: Bechtel Machinery stock currently sells for $65 per share. The market requires a 14 percent return on the firm's stock. The company maintains a constant 8 percent growth rate in dividends. What was the most recent annual dividend per share paid on this stock?
