Q: my sister has a pain disease and beds cant shake alot. PLEASE HELP ME
Try hiding any scratches with wood polish or stain to match the wood color. Maybe try adding a coat of varnish to bring back the shine? Or call a furniture store. A ma and pop store would probably have better know how than a big store.
Q: Bed wetting? How do you get kids to stop. My daughter is a little older than the average bed wetter but she has trauma from her biological parents (PTSD) and she gets bad dreams that cause her to be so stressed and wet the bed. She wets the bed nearly every night and we had to put her in diapers because it was just too much cleaning pee pee sheets EVERY night. We tried no water before bed and going to the bathroom before bed, but it just isn't working out well. Any techniques you parents out there use to stop bed wetting?
Make her sleep on the floor. Her bed won't get wet that way, and it's a whole lot easier to dry the floor than the sheets. That was meant as a joke, but instead try comforting her every night, i mean talk to each other about her day before she sleeps, make her drink milk to calm her nerves, you get what i mean. If stress is what causes her bed-wetting problems, then you should deal with her stress first. if that didn't work.....
Q: Estimation Please???Plus age for upgrade to a Queen bed???
I would say maybe 12 or 13. I got my bed a little younger but that was because we moved houses and my parents just decided to get me a new bed. Personally I've always liked the full size beds best. Up until I moved out after law school i stayed in my nice full-sized bed. I don't think anyone necessarily needs a queen size bed, but a full is definately more comfortable. I think the best age is probably the summer right before they start middle school, as a sort of you're growing up now, and you get a more grown-up bed...but that's me. Hope this helped.
Q: How Do bedbugs form on your bed or mattress out of nowhere?
Bed bugs are everywhere. There are lots of ways for them to get into your home. One way is through your luggage or on packages as you travel. They can be introduced to your house on wooden furniture, on yours or guests' clothing, or if you wash your linens at a laundry mat someone else's infestation can become your own. A bed bug infestation can be similar to infestations of other insects in that it could result from someone else treating the problem and they just simply crawl in to find a safe haven and a food source.
Q: What is the difference in size between a Cal King and a Reg King bed?
a california king is 72 wide by 84 long - giving each person about 36 of bed width - which when you are sharing a bed isn't very much. regular king size bed is 76 wide by 80 long - giving you more space to spread out~lol. hubby and i tried both and ended up buying the regular king size bed -which is handy because the dog generally sneaks up in the middle of the night and curls up to sleep!!! lol
Q: Have you ever fallen out of bed ?
Yes, I have fallen out of bed. It's always more fun when you fall out of bed with the person You've been in bed with and having fun with !
Q: Hi, I think my bed has bed bugs. I don't think I've ever gotten bitten. But if I do, how dangerous are they. Will it go away? Is there a cream k can put on it.? And will have long term affects on me? Thaks
No bed bugs are not dangerous they feed off or blood and if you got them wash ever thing you can bed bugs do not go but you can kill them bed bugs well lay eggs and get bigger but remove every that like carpet couches and beds if you have bed bugs
Q: I was just curious --a lot of the earthquake safety guidelines say to duck and cover under sturdy tables, etc, but that if you're in bed, you should stay in bed unless there are large objects nearby that might fall on you. Why is it safer to stay IN bed as opposed to getting underneath the bed?
I've never heard that before. I can't imagine why the top of the bed would be safe -- things can fall on you when you're exposed like that. On the other hand, if there is a collapse, being under the bed would make it harder for rescuers to get to you. Then again, being on top of the bed in that scenario would just kill you under the rubble.
Q: I have twin girls that I would like to move out of their crib into a bed. But I cant make up my mind if I should get 2 toddler beds. Or if I should just buy a twin or full size bed and let them share.
I have 3 girls ages 5, 4, and 2 (and a 4 month old son) and the 4 and 2 year old share a full size bed, we have a railing on the 2 year old's side. Let me tell you, it is the cutest thing with their two little heads together sleeping!! How old are your daughters now, 2? I would skip the toddler beds, we tried that for the 2 year old but she wanted to just sleep with her sister anyway. **TO add: The full size bed we have is the bottom of a twin over full bunk bed but we are not using the top bunk yet for it since my girls are too young I think-in the future we will use the top bunk above the full or we can separate the two beds and have one full bed and one twin size bed, but we do not have the bedroom space for that at this time. We have a four bedroom house but the 3 children's rooms are all 10x10 feet only-no room for even two twin beds in one room and we have 4 children. So a twin over full size bunk bed is another option for you.
