- Laptop coolers are mostly USB power,, they suck up cold air and blow it towards the bottom intake fan of your laptop. Now most laptop cooling fans are not really sufficient, they will lower you CPU core temps by 2-7 degrees Celsius your laptop wont burn out as long as you don't play games on a surface where the intake fan will be blocked, like your bed for instance And all the new laptops have many temperature sensors inside, so if you laptop gets close to overheating, your laptop will either freeze or restart but if you still want a laptop cooler, buy a Coolermaster or one of the known brandnames

- Come on admit it; you want to know what one will be best for playing games no good. One cannot generelize about brands I have a HP and its lasted me well. For Reliability I would go for the brand Dell but it it entirely depends on the model. HP Laptops were not cooled very well they got hot at the bottom and overheated, mine doesnt because I have cooling pad. What I am saying is the reliability depends on you as much as how you look after it.
