- lenovo will give you better support (US based) if you need it. Dell will give you slower and offsore support unless you want to pay a premium to talk to US support. dell may be more reasonably priced and would be a casual style laptop, whereas lenovo will be a more of a business class style. I would recommend lenovo if you don't plan to do much gaming. any thinkpad will be a sturdy machine you can take with you anywhere, but as i've stated won't be much of a gaming machine. if you plan on gaming I would suggest ASUS. good luck.
