FAQ:
Q1: Are electronics cheap in Okorder.com?
A: Of course. They are very cheap. The factories provide the goods. One-stop sourcing.
Q2: Why are electronics so cheap in ok order?
A: On ok order they are the lowest price. Because it is a wholesale website and factory provide goods.
Q3: Do all electronics have silicon in them?
A: No but most modern ones do. Older electronics that don't require micro chips don't have to have silicon at all, and their mother boards are made from copper. Silicon is used in micro chips as a semi-conductor in modern electronics but some other semi-metals, like gallium and germanium can also be used. Silicon is just the most common because it is so plentiful.
- Q:I heard that playing games in laptops would defect the perfomance of the laptop. Is it true??
- A laptop can be just as capable as a desktop, but you have to pay for the extra portability. A gaming laptop will be considerably more expensive than a gaming desktop with identical specifications. As for comments in one of the other answers that laptops are fragile Yes, you can break a laptop if you drop it, but so what? What does that have to do with the capability of the laptop of running games? And as for them running hot, a laptop doesn't necessarily run any hotter than a desktop, though it might seem that way since you have the thing in your lap, and they can indeed run hot if you don't let it get enough ventilation. (A friend of mine complained about his laptop overheating and blamed the manufacturer. Then I pointed out that he puts the laptop on a pillow in his lap when he uses it, which completely blocks the air vents.) But again, that has little to do with the gaming capabilities of a laptop. And if heat is an issue, there are cooling pads and other products available to help with that.
- Q:Can you suggest the best gaming laptop for about 800$ ? :)
- Mike D suggested a very good option (the lenovo) I may also add that the Acer Aspire v3 offers some impressive hardware (quad core CPUs and 2gb dedicated GPUs) at some great prices. Look around for laptops in this line and the lenovo series on newegg. ps Peter, thats basically every laptop there is, genius.
- Q:I use a laptop, but what do you like best?
- desktop. don't have to go wireless which exposes the computer to greater danger of being hacked and more memory, larger screen. If I had the money, I'd get a laptop as a second computer.
- Q:I am thinking getting laptop or desktop
- I prefer desktop. They're cheaper and cheap to upgrade. Laptops can be very limited on what you can upgrade.
- Q:I use the AC outlet instead of the battery as power source for my laptop. So if i turn off the laptop, should i unplug the power also or just let it stays it the outlet?
- It shouldn't hurt your laptop to leave it plugged in. When turned off, most laptops will check their battery's charge. If it is below 100%, the laptop will continue charging. Once it is fully charged (or if it was already at 100%), it will just cut off the power flow. I leave my laptop plugged in nearly 24/7, and it has never caused any harm.
- Q:How is a laptop measured? I want to buy a bag for my new laptop, and most of them say a 15.4 laptop fits into them. Is that how long the screen is? Please help!
- Laptop screens are always measured diagonally across the screen. Like, from the top right corner to the bottom left corner.
- Q:Hi, im looking for a nice looking laptop like the sony Vaio Z but for price 300-400 dollars. and its not complete ****.
- Sony has a good reputation and the build quality is excellent, but you should also consider other brands - there are dozens of them - Acer, HP, Dell, Samsung, Lenovo, Asus all have good names and make quality products. Before you go jumping in though, ask yourself what will I use it for and then check the following points: Do I need a CD/DVD drive? - lots of software is still supplied on optical media, so check before you buy Is the size or weight important? - it will be if you have to carry it far! Do I have existing software I want to use? - if so make sure the new one is compatible Will I need to type much, or is it just for email/web browsing? Laptop keyboards and track-pads vary enormously, so if this is important TRY before you BUY Will I use it outdoors? - screen resolution is important, and many laptops are difficult to see in daylight. Some also have highly reflecting screens that make it hard to see in bright light. Don't forget, if you find the ideal machine but it falls short in one area you can sometimes work around it e.g. poor trackpad - get an external USB mouse; hard drive is small - get an external drive (cheap as chips these days), or even a large capacity memory stick. I would seriously advise you to visit a store and see/touch/use the machine you fancy before buying - you can always buy online to get the best price once you know which one you want. There are tons of resources online, so check around and Good Luck in your search!
- Q:how to track a laptop using hardware
- Many higher-end laptops include such a security device built-in. Check out some of the more expensive brands, such as HP and Lenovo.
- Q:a medium sized dell laptop that can handle games
- over 2K is extremeish 1000-1500 is solid.
- Q:i connected my laptop and my home theatre system with a HDMI cable. Wat changes should i make in laptop so that i can view the video played from my home theatre system.
- Unless you requested an extra component to receive HDMI input in your laptop, most commonly you would only be able to output from the laptop.
