- Hey I am also sooooo confuesed cause there are so many. I wanted to get an HP G60 but when I went and looked they too have so many different types of G60's and prices. You may want to go to their own website and check things out. I feel the off brands are just as good. So don't be sold on just a Dell or HP for example. I too am looking into others. Sorry I may not have answered, just my thoughts.

- Unfortunately it sounds like your power supply may have reached the end of its days. If it appears to be working until you connect it to your laptop it means it isn't strong enough to feed your laptop anymore so to speak. Try taking your laptop to a computer shop and see if it is indeed the power supply that is faulty. That would be the best case scenario. Otherwise you're looking at an internal problem which would be much harder to remedy as it is an old laptop.
