- If you have Motorola Mobile Phone Tools, you need to have some means of connecting the phone to the computer. You have three choices - Infrared, Cable and Bluetooth. Also, you need to have your phone enabled to allow data transfer. If you have Cingular service, this is enabled already, if Verizon, then you will have to get the data transfer unlocked. Once data transfer is unlocked, the Phone Tools program will walk you through the setup for the phone. If you can't figure this out, then you need to study the help file for the program and learn how to use it. I would normally be happy to tell you how to use it, but not knowing your computer and your phone, I can't. - Q: I had shortlisted the Sony Ericsson T700 and G502 as the choices for my first mobile phone. I am pretty convenient at using mobile phones (as all my relatives have one) so using them is not a problem. My first pref is the T700 but as it is costlier and mostly has the same features as the cheaper G502 (except camera mp, menu layout and more RSS functions), I am thinking of going for the G502. However, I have read that the G502's build quality is poor and it hangs and restarts and similar sort of things. Also some people say that the colour starts coming off after a few months. Is that a cause for worry?I know that firmware needs to be updated regularly so, if I maintain it well, are there chances of problems creeping up? I would also like to know from G502 users if they liked it or if they had some specific problems with it? In the end, should I wait for the T700's price to drop or should I go for the G502?Thanx for reading.
- I've had one for about a couple of months now and had no problems with it. I was just after a low cost phone that would allow me to check emails, get weather reports, connect to messenger, etc. The screen is a little small but I can read my mail using Google's excellent mobile mail app. I haven't tried to write an email with it yet. Build quality is good and I haven't had any problems with it hanging, although a couple of websites that I was viewing with the built in browser have caused it to restart. Can't comment on the paint coming off yet. I think the screen would be easily scratched so I try to avoid putting it in the same pocket as keys, coins, etc. and I'm looking for some sort of cover to protect it. Overall, it does the job for me and I've been pleased with it in the first couple of months I've had it. Best regards,

- Between those 3, I would definitely have to say the Curve 8900(a.k.a. Curve 2). I bought that phone on the 11th when it was released and it is the best phone I have ever owned. The screen has an amazingly high resolution for the size and is very clear. It has a 3.2 MP camera with a flash that takes great pictures. It is also the thinnest full QWERTY Blackberry on the market. The processor in the 8900 is almost twice the speed of the processor in the first Curve. Like the first Curve(T-Mobile's at least), this phone also has wifi browsing and wifi calling features(UMA, can be used to make calls over wifi with the unlimited hotspot calling add-on). It also has good battery life. It doesn't have 3G like the G1 does, but to me that wasn't important. It also supports microSD SDHC memory cards, and has a 3.5mm audio jack.

- Android phones can't be used on Assurance Wireless, unfortunately. Assurance Wireless only lets you use (some) other Virgin Mobile phones, not including their Android phones (or Blackberry).
- Q: cancel phone service for virgin mobile usa.
- Call them and tell them you would like to cancel your account/plan/service and whatnot. The process you have to go through to get a live advisor from Virgin Mobile on the phone is a lot faster than it used to be. It will take you 10 minutes tops to finish cancelling it.

- To activate the Gprs on mobile phone just follow the steps below: Select a Frequency Band to Activate GPRS: Step1 Access the phone's settings from the phone's main menu. Note: In countries outside of the United States or North America, you typically need to use the 900 MHz/1800 MHz frequency to get a GPRS signal from one of the mobile providers in another country. Step 2 Click the Network option from the menu that appears. Step 3 Select Band to begin the band selection. Step 4 Click on the band option that you want to activate a GPRS connection, such as 850/1900, 900/1800 or automatic if you are uncertain of the GPRS band. Step5 Turn the device off and then back on if it does not automatically select the band and you have selected the automatic option. Create a Network Connection to Activate GPRS Step1 Access the main menu on the phone to get to the settings menu. Step 2 Click Network, and then Network Setup (which usually appears as an option but depends on your model of phone). Step 3 Select Manual or Automatic. Note: You want to set your phone's option to Automatic so you can establish a GPRS connection with your mobile provider. However, select Manual if you want to choose a different network.
