- Q: I know, I know, straightening your hair can cause future damage, but that is the main reason I am asking this questionI was wondering, is there some kind of hair cream or straightener that will help make it so you won't get frizzy hair or split ends? Or should I just perm it, even though doing so the chemicals could damage it even more? My hair looks horrible if it is not straightened and the start of a new school year is coming up and I would love to have a good first impression on peoplePlease and thank you!
- I agree with most of these answers hereAlways use heat protectantsTresemme Heat Defense spray is good and a light formulaI have fine hair but lots of it and any kind of serums just weigh my hair downDon't straighten every day if you can help itI would invest in a good straightenerGHD's are one of the best but they don't offer temperature control so I wouldn't buy one of themI recently purchased a HD one through eBayLook at HD, H2D, Super Attitude Styles hair straighteners as they claim to be good if not better than GHD'sLook at feedbacks as well to determine good/great sellersMake your mind up from thereAlways know your hair type and what you can and can't do with your hairDo not chemically straighten your hairI have had that done, although I don't regret doing it my hair was considerably dry afterwards thoI only did it go get rid of a growing out perm, yuk!!!!
- Q: The price builder is quoting is $3000 for adding additional heating zone !
- His price is about right, assuming quality (Brand name like Carrier, Lennox, etc) and 16 SEERI wouldn't recommend it for 2200 SF - residential units are made as large as 5 ton, and depending on your geography, window count, and general energy efficiency, you should need only about 3 1/2 tonsThat means probably 2 2 ton units, or maybe 2 at 1 1/2 each - in that rangeWhat you'd get with 2 units is zoning - one zone for bedrooms for night use, and the other for daytime areasThat way, you're saving operating cost on one unit days and the other nightsTakes a long time to get back the extra $3K, thoughI vote againstIf you insist on spending the money, put in radiant barrier roofing (under $1,000), better windows, better attic ventilation, and better attic insulation Or you could spend several hundred and have a twin thermostat single system, with a flapper valve to load the heating and cooling toward one zone or the other.
- Q: We just had our 3 ton A/C replaced with 4 ton A/C due to adding A/C and heat to rear additionOur overall house sqare footage is 2500 sq ftProblem: The 2nd floor even after upgrading to 4 ton unit still is warmer than 1st floorHow can I get more airflow to the second floor? Add another return to the second floor?More details: The HVAC guy ran 1 ton to the addition with 5 branch supply registersHe added a 2nd return register at the floor level below the ceiling returnHe did this by cutting into the exsisting return trunk on the first floorWhen he replaced the furnace he also cut a small return duct 14 x 7 on the opposite side of the main return on the furnace. How can I correct the problems?
- Fibers are very healthy. But since they are undigestable they just pass through the stools but to do that it needs plenty of water, so if you are taking this much fiber without having at least 8 cups of water ( according to ur high fiber-protein diet ) than fiber wont help you at all.becuz fiber absorbs water from the colon.and Fiber amounts should be increased in the diet slowly (adding about 1-2 grams daily ) + over eating fibers can cause many bloating and flatuence problems.Aim to 25 grams of fibers (minimum 6 cups of water ) and ur husband a 30-35 grams (minimum 8 cups of water ) Dont worry ul be fine soon.
- Q: which flat iorn?
- I agree ???? with reza answer though I'd like to add that coffee ? is full ???? of frozen beans that have been soluble through the hot ???? water ???? I don't drink coffee ?
- Q: I want to make tiny little hats for styrofoam balls which are about 2quot; in radiusSo that means i want the hat to cover about 6quot; in totalFirstly, I would like to make a robin hood-like hat, and then make some sort of women's hair or veil or dressI will not put the hair under the hatIf anyone has any idea or a linkPlease post!
- First, to felt, you will need to use a natural fiber- wool is good, acrylic will not workSecond, depending on the size of the needles or hooks you use, and the thickness of the yarn, and the gauge you use 0how tight or loose you work) and how intensely you do the felting process, the pieces you create will give different resultsPeople who felt, learn that the best thing is to work some of the fiber and make a measured square- using a piece 12 square, gives you something to hold onto if you felt by handThen felt that square using the technique you will use for the finished project- hand or machine, After the piece is fully dry, you will know the measurements needed to do the little hats.
- Q: I am thinking of installing insulation around the exterior of my foundation and was deciding whether to install on the above ground portion, below ground portion or bothThe above ground portion of the basement is insulated on the inside down to 6 inches to a foot below gradeThe rest of the below grade area is not insulated whatsoeverInsulating the inner walls is not an option more than it already is.The basement is cold in the winter, as basements often areI am trying to make it warmer but was wondering if I will see much improvement by insulating the below grade portion with only a small R-Value (6)Right now it is wood paneling, 2quot; air space, blocking, soilIn areas where the ground freezes (northern ontario), how much R-Value does the soil itself provide? Lots of random questions in this oneAny help greatly appreciated.
- any insulation below the frost line, not necessarily the grade will not help that much, as obviously you don't have the extreme cold thereBest to insulate the most wherever it is easiest, make sure you seal all possible drafts and try to have an airflow in he basementSome basements are cold because the cooler air is more dense and therefore collects in the basement, providing adequate air circulation can help this situation dramatically
