Q: I have 2 two-year old pit bulls, a one-year old chihuahua and a 5 month old chihuahuaI noticed a hole in my wall where one of my dogs ate through itThere is pink insulation all tore up- about 1 foot by 1 foot square or so (not completely eaten, but possibly nibbled on)Now one of my pit bulls and my 5 month old chihuahua appear to be losing their hair around their body (not complete bald spots, but balding)They haven't lost their appetite or energy and I don't see blood in their poopie, but am curious if they can die or can they get betterPlease don't be cruel about me having pit bullsThey are very sweet and as you can see, they get along great with my chihuahuasI am just a concerned pet owner who is having a little bit of a financial situation which is the reason I can't go to the vet at this momentThank you in advance for those who help.
Insulation ( pink ) between the walls is FIBERGLASS insulation, and is very hard on the tummyIt'll tear it up insideMy advice.take all of your dogs to the vet and have xrays made of their stomach / intestinesIt's entirely possible that they may have to have surgery to get it out.and the longer you wait, the worse it COULD beOther than making sure you close up the hole, and they don't eat any more of the insulation.there's nothing you can do for them at homeHope you get the xrays, and they turn out to NOT have any insulation inside them.GOOD LUCK.
Q: I want to get a chicken coop and im going through the list of materials in my head, which is very hardIs insulation a must? I hear that it keeps the coop 5-10 degrees cooler in the summer and 10-20 degrees hotter in the winter.is this true? Adn i also heard that insulation also acts as a sound proofDoes it really mute the sound in the coop? Also if i get insulation do i need a heat lamp? Im desperate! Thanks
Hi! You've made no mention of what sort of climate you live in which does make it a bit more difficult to answer the questionIf you are in a fairly temperate climate with no temperature extremes then you can probably get away without any insulation at all providing the birds are well sheltered from the elementsHowever if you are in a climate which is prone to quick changes of weather or snowfall than some degree of insulation can be a good idea- 6 mil polyethylene foam works well but it does add extra work as then you need to double wall the coop to make sure the chickens don't peck at it (place a vapor barrier alongside the inside wall as well)(Don't forget to provide adequate ventilation as well) If the walls and ceiling are well insulated this way then there is probably no need for a heat lamp other than for raising chicks however if you are in an area where there is a LOT of continuous snowfall or extended levels of cold (where you need to break ice off of water everyday) you should have one on handInsulation will mute the sounds from the coop a little simply because the walls are thicker and the sound has further to travelYou'll find that if you are just keeping hens that most breeds are fairly quiet anyway and just have noisy moments like when they are laying or when they are frightened.
Q: I have mostly straight hairIt's wazy in some places so i have to straighten it and blowdry itWhen i blowdry it, it makes my hair frizzy! i've tryed products but they just don't workAny suggestions?
i cant tell you what instrument you wantto get if you like keyboards more get a keyboard the 62 note sounds good and as for the fender i heard telecasters and stratocasters are realy goodp.si play guitar drums bass and keyboards i like the guitar way better than any other instrument in the world
Q: Ok, here's the thingI got 5 estimates about replacing my HVAC systemNo problemThree of the five looked in my attic and said I need to replace the duct system completely as the insulation is hanging off, plastic showing, etc(It's probably over 20 years old)One person did not even look up in the atticOne other looked and said it needed to be replaced in certain sections, and two say it needs to be replaced completely citing that the plastic is showing and not in the best conditionThe last guy who looked says it looks good, does not need to be replaced, just put new insulation on the areas where it is hangingHe said the plastic is not brittle, so the whole thing does not need to be replacedSee my confustion here? I have ascertained that the duct needs attentionThat I believeBut whether the whole thing needs replacing is the questionShould I replace the whole thing (more money) or just certain sections as recommended? Be serious please.
Barbacoa 2-4 servings 4? hours 15 min prep Change to: servings US Metric 2-3 lbs beef, cheek meat 1 bunch cilantro 2 fresh garlic cloves, peeled 1 large onion, chopped salt pepper 3-4 cups water First, trim as much fat as you can from meatPlace in a slow cookerIn a blender, add about 1 cup of waterBlend cilantro, garlic, onion, salt and pepper with water(you can use as much or as little spices you want, depending on your taste) Pour this mixture over meat then add about 2-3 cups of more water depending on how much meat you are cookingCook meat in slow cooker on low for about 3-4 hoursAgain, this depends on how much meat you haveIf you are going to eat this for breakfast (which is the traditional way), cook the night before and let is cool overnightIn the morning before heating up, skim all the grease that comes to the topTOPPINGS: Chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, chopped fresh jalapenos, shredded cheese, sliced avocadosCHEEK MEAT: Beef cheek meat is very tender but very very fattyYou may want to buy more or less meat, depending on the size.
Q: ive ordered a knit jumper and it looks kinda small on me so do you know how to make jumpers that are made out of knit bigger
Big loader, Big Big Loader or Thomas and friends Big LoaderSee Images below
Q: I want to schedule a get together with a group of friends and I need a fun craft idea we can do togetherNo knitting or crochet ideas please.
buy your insulation in wider rolls and cut it to size
Q: I'm knitting a scarf with chunky yarnI have two of the same brand/color/type but one is thicker than the otherWhen I began knitting with my second skein I noticed that it was less fluffy than the first, so the knitting is thinner and not as softThe first one I was working with produced knitting that is thick and lushThe second one seems thinner, though, and looks like I'm using a different type of yarn altogether, so I unraveled the little bit of knitting I did with the second skeinAlso, I can't find this color at any craft stores or I would just buy one that was fuller like the first oneI've been knitting for a couple of years but have never come across this problemI just want to know if I can do something to the yarn that will make it fluff upThanks!
If a yarn has been stored tightly for a long time, it may become compressedAll you need to do it give it a good shake and then let it sit for awhileIt will return to its normal stateHowever, I don't think you can fluff up any yarn to make it thicker and chunkyIf there isn't enough fibres in your yarn, there isn't enoughYour yarn is going to be thinner no matter what you doYou did not get the same yarnSometimes the manufacturer will change the yarn, but still use the same nameThis is especially true if you bought them at different timesYou will never be able to find the same dye lot at another timeThat is why you are always told to get enough to finish your projectOne skein is hardly enough for a scarfdidn't your instructor explain this to you? There is not much you can do nowYou can try asking on ravelry and see if you can find that same dye lotYou can get a contrast or coordinating colour of the same yarn and use that on the outside bordersDo both ends, and it will look planned that wayYou may have to rip it all out and use it for something elseSorry.
Q: Is there a conditioner type of thing I can use with hair straightener to prevent major hair damage? Like something i put on my hair before I straighten my hair or use while washing my hair?
you will desire to be WAAAAAAAY extra specific than thateach and each usa receives that is water from many distinctive rivers and lakes, frequently each and each great city receives that is water one by one from the different great townsAnd Britain recycles that is water basically with the aid of putting it lower back into the water cycle.
Q: It is for a horse blanket, I am comparing 250 grams of hollow fiber fill or 250 grams of polyfill for a blanket to be warmer!
Don't buy scratchy yarnHold a skein of yarn to your cheekIf it feels scratchy before you crochet with it, it will be ten times worse when it's made up into a blanket.
