- Q: After all the great talk about SharkBite fittings and how they are a quick and easy way to fix a water line, I am stumped on the pipe sizes. What happened is when I was in Lowes, I noticed their knockoff brand called GatorBite. It comes in 1/2 and 3/4 like Sharkbite. But anyone who knows about copper and pvc knows that 1/2 is actually 5/8 OD. So, a 1/2 copper pipe will not fit inside a SharkBite fitting. You would have to use 3/8 to get a 1/2 OD since the fittings are 1/2 ID.Can someone clarify this? I tried lining up a section of 1/2 copper to the GatorBite fitting and it was exactly the same size as the sleeve. And the demo display had some pipes hanging out of the fitting that you could pull out for demonstration. The copper pipr I pulled out slid right inside a 1/2 copper line. 3/8 for sure.
- Removal of clothing does nothing to aid compressions. Leave her dressed. If you are in a remote area with no defibrillator, the chances of survival are slim, but you have to do what you can. Thinking about this stuff ahead of time is so incredibly smart. Perhaps your colleague should consider taking a CPR course.
- Q: I am tight on money but i need to buy a vest for jumping. It can be used but in decent condition. Thanks for the suggestions!Btw it can be any color
- If you are trying to join a copper pipe to a PVC pipe, you will need a transition. There are several ways to make the transition. It depends on your skill level and the access to various parts. The easiest way is to find a plumbing store (even Lowe's or Home Depot) that carries manufactured transitional fittings. The inside diameter will not matter, just the actually pipe size and material. If you can't find these kind of fittings, you can either sweat a female adapter onto the copper and then use a PVC male adapter or you could use the same concept with a compression fitting for the copper side. Hope this helps. You can contact me directly if you need more info. Good luck.
- Q: Could i please get an explanation as to why NASCAR drivers are athletes?
- Normally your type problem is more related to a bad thermostat. The thermostat is what regulates your coolant temperature. In away it sounds like it is staying open and not closing down which allows for the coolant to constantly flow through the radiator subsequently staying cool. Then when you start to drive you put a load on your engine which in turn heats your coolant and gives you the heat you need. A shop with a good lazer infra red heat detector could check this out for you. By testing the thermostat housing while it is running for any drastic increases and decrease in temperature
- Q: Or are you lobbying for a fire breathing dragon park in your neighborhood like I am?Since Winkie is just a baby I've been slapped with 4 law suits because all he wants to do is play with the dogs he doesn't mean to scorch them.
- Most High pressure compressed gas tanks are of seamless construction (forged from one piece of metal), of high quality materials, produced under carefully controlled conditions and fully tested. Most common pipe has a welded seam, and if you screwed on the caps, that would mean you are using threaded pipe and cutting the threads reduces the strength. High quality seamless pipe with suitable welded fittings could potentially have a working pressure in the thousands of PSI, but that is different than what you seem to be asking about.
- Q: fender system one guitar tremolo lock collar?
- walk casually around the house looking for the fire
- Q: I was wondering if a fire blanket could catch on fire, also if other fire stopping things could catch on fire, like extinguishers or baking soda, stuff like that
- I'm not sure what you are talking about. What I am sure of is they are not writing to tell anyone they have arrived. They get a 30 second phone call to do that. If they have contraband, things they aren't allowed to keep during training, they may be writing an address to send it to or their name so it can be held for them. If they are in civvies, this might be what they are doing. The next day they will receive their uniforms. We wrote an address to send our civilian clothes to. If they already have a hair cut and are wearing a uniform this would be my guess.
- Q: what colors can i put together, how much laundry detergent do i need to put in?simple answers like that.
- Why not just try to 'sneak' out doors? Maybe 75% chancedepending on where alarm and window are located.
- Q: How come lightning doesn't strike twice?
- Answer1: Our NASA team sent 3 men to the moon on the Apollo 11 mission: Edwin Buzz Aldrin, Michael Collins, and Neil Armstrong. Four days after launch, Aldrin and Armstrong landed on the moon while Collins stayed in orbit in the Command Module. On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong stepped out of the landing module and descended the ladder to become the first man on the moon.Astronaut Neil A. Armstrong, commander, himself took his photograph with a 70mm lunar surface camera. Answer2: It's difficult to capture something very bright and something else very dim on the same piece of film typical emulsions don't have enough dynamic range. Astronauts striding across the bright lunar soil in their sunlit spacesuits were literally dazzling. Setting a camera with the proper exposure for a glaring spacesuit would naturally render background stars too faint to see.
- Q: I just got couches from someone that has two cats. How can I get the hair off because my girlfriend is allergic? Even after vacuuming she's still having massive allergy attacks
- It depends on your plumbing skills/knowledge and how easy or hard it would be to connect into the existing water and drain lines. The work would need to be done per local or state plumbing codes and may need to have a permit/building inspector sign off on it. If not done by code, then you may have issues when selling the house or plumbing/drain issues with the new sink. If you have an adjoining wall of the house to the garage which already has a sink like a bath or kitchen, then it would be fairly easy to tap into those water and drain lines and run them into the adjoining wall of the garage but also depending on whether they are cast iron, copper, PVC or PEX ,etc.. Just run new water lines from the existing ones using a variety of fittings / pipe /shutoff valves (PEX pipe /adapters /Sharkbite fittings would be best /easiest) and route the PVC drain line from the new sink to the existing house drain lines using rubber boot connectors or PVC fittings/adapters making sure you maintain a proper slope of any horizontal runsusually 1 of drop per 10' of drain pipe run. You'll also likely or possibly need to tee into/run a new vent pipe in the garage sink drain line up to the roof for proper drainage/flow or install an air vent in the drain line after the P trap if a vent pipe is too difficult to install and allowed by code. An air vent allows air to go into the drain pipe after the trap for proper water flow but has a spring loaded valve in it which closes off when not in use to prevent sewer gases coming out the ventsold at home centers. Look at the layout of the water /drain lines plumbing in the house, what types of pipe and length to the garage and if it's too difficult for you, call in some plumbers and get a few quotes including any permits. While you're at it, you may opt to install cold/hot water lines and hose bibs in the garage for washing cars, etc.. nice to have if there is a floor drain or just to avoid going into the house to get hot/cold water.
- Q: How to use the clamp type pipe joint?
- The utility model does not have a self sealing type, and the self sealing joint can use the one-way valve to make the ends of the connecting pipe not expose the gas or the liquid, and the sealing effect is good.
