- Yes, unless you've left out a critical detail (such as getting water into a cylinder), the timing belt is the most likely explanation for your bent valve. It doesn't neccessarily mean the person who 'did' your timing belt buggered it up, it may have just slipped. The short-ish period between getting work done and the valve getting bent is a little suspicious, but slips happen, especially with belts (as opposed to chains and dual row chains). This puts you in a difficult situation. You may also want to inspect your valvetrain, piston face, and the bore of that cylinder for damage.

- USA If you do not know where your valve is, you could not have tested it. How do you know it is not functioning? It might be that the electric signal required to operate the valve is not getting to the valve. Most zone valves can be opened and closed manually, if you want the heat constantly on or off. If you do not know where the valve is, or what to do with it, I strongly recommend you contact a licensed professional HVAC contractor.

- Did you get that EGR valve from Cadillac dealership?? A lot of those aftermarket parts DO NOT LIKE Cadillac's!!!!!!!!!! I run into that all the time nor will we use any aftermarket parts due to the problems we have with them. Make sure that switch is working that controls the EGR valve. I have seen those fail also. You need access to a serive manual so you can command that switch on off check with a test light a vacuum gauge to make sure you are getting vacuum to that EGR Valve. Also, make sure that the ports are not clogged up with carbon, even check the pipe inside the throttle body opening, they should be clean inside those tubes !!!!!!!!!

- unless they have been tampered with that wouldn't be it,they usually wont tighten up on their own,i would suspect maybe a valve with a slight burn place on it that's causing that to happen or a ring causing you to loose that much compression,try adding a small amount of oil in the cylinder and then do the compression test again,that will tell you if its a ring or a valve,that's a big loss of compression ,and when you see that much of drop its usually a burnt valve.good luck.
