Q: I'm not going to be buying a computer for another 5 months or so (money issues) and I was wondering when it is released, how much it will cost and what motherboard I should get.: It hasn't been announced as to when the quad core bulldozers will be released, but it is not looking like they will come out with the 6 and 8 cores, based largely on rumors - no official word from AMD, to my knowledge. Any motherboard with 900 series chipset is a must, to get the most out of the CPU. I've been using the MSI 990fxa-gd80 for a few months now, with a Phenom II x6 1100t and absolutely love it. Asus and Gigabyte would also be top brands to look at. Prices have not been officially announced, but for the 8-core bulldozer, we can expect them to sell between 220-280, from all the rumors circulating. Quad cores most definitely will be sub-200$ price range, say roughly 120-150$ range, would be my guess. Again: no official prices have been announced, to the best of my knowledge. It is official, however, that Bulldozer's first parts will be released sometime in October, so we will know more in a few weeks!

I AM SO TIRED OF BLUE SCREENS AND I HAVE REBOOTED THIS DAM COMPUTER AT LEAST 250 IN THE LAST 12 HOURS: Not all chips overclock equally. I have a QX6700 that was only stable at 3.2Ghz. Some other people could get theirs to 3.6 Ghz. It's just the luck of the draw. Right now I have an i5-2500k that's rock solid stable at 4.7Ghz which is pretty average for that CPU, but I've heard of people who can only get 4.3 or 4.4Ghz out of theirs. The point is nothing is guaranteed in overclocking, you apparently got a chip that just doesn't overclock that well. Edit: No, we understand perfectly, you don't get it. Fact of the matter is some chips just don't overclock as well as others, there are reasons for it. And alot of the time it's just bad luck. Your CPU could've been one the ones that's die was located on the outer areas of the silicone wafer it was cast in, the CPU's from the center of the wafer tend to overclock better. Furthermore Bulldozer is well known to run hot, especially when overclocking, they have power draw that's about on par with the Intel's older Nehalem based CPUs. The world records you speak of were achieved with CO2 cooling, you really can't expect to come anywhere remotely close to that on air, and realistically you can't really expect to even reach the same kind of overclock that the Intel Sandy Bridges are capable of. I can't speak for everyone but, I'm well aware of what Bulldozer is, and I'm well aware that it's not the CPU all the AMD fanbois thought it was going to be. What revision of the FX-8150 do you have? B2?

Q: I am looking to get a new PC and wanted to know the specification which I should be looking for as I want to use programming programs including web design programs. Also I need it to have decent graphic for gaming purpose.Can anyone recommend some good specifications for me to look for and maybe some prices.Thanks: While AMD Bulldozer is not out yet you should only look at i5 2500K or i7 2600K as your best options. Add 8GB RAM and good video card like GTX 460 or similar. Good case and PSU, reliable HDD and preferably SSD will make excellent computer and not very expensive too :-) Good luck
