- Q: I have a t-mobile cell phone and since I returned home from vacation Sunday, I have noticed that my phone now says ATT as its service, not 'T-mobile.' I haven't done anything to my phone, and have no idea why this is happening! A few of my friends who live next door also have T-mobile and have the same thing happening. What's even more odd is we have far better service now (even though ATT has horrible service in this area- New York's Hudson Valley).Any idea as to why this is may be occurring?
- It just means you're connecting to an ATT tower instead of to a T-Mobile one. Sometimes that happens because there's an issue with the T-Mobile tower and your phone can't connect to it. (Like if they're working on it right then or it's just busted, which seems to happen often.) If it's giving you better service, that's awesome, so don't bother to ask T-Mobile to put you back on their towers (tech support can do that I think). Roaming on other towers is included on T-Mobile so it's not going to affect your bill at all.

- Yesm! That's how you get new phones, they just move the sim card into the other phone. The phone may be locked, if so call the provider and ask for the lock code But it shouldn't.

- It depends on which prepaid option you choose. The Pay by the Day option charges you $1 per day that you use the service, but charges nothing on days you do not use the service. That $1 includes unlimited T-Mobile to T-Mobile calls at any time during the day, and unlimited calls to any other number from 7 p.m. until 6:59 a.m. Other calls (basically, calls made to non-TMobile numbers between 7 a.m. and 6:59 p.m.) cost 10 cents a minute, and it costs 10 cents to send and 5 cents to receive a message. It is a really good plan-I just got it for my children because I wanted them to have a phone not for entertainment, but for security when I drop them off at Scouts or ball practice or such. - i think basically,phones from foreign nations have an inbuilt sim-card that can auto detect available netwoks.have u started using the phone?if not then i think u should consult a qualified person for breaking the seal of the sim card.only then u will be able to access the indian netwoks.the sim card must be holding the list of the netwoks from england and america.tats what is the list you are talking about in the my networks list.

- Are these all T-mobile branded phones? If so, going to the Tmobile website should yield you results for each phone. It will specifically say WiFi capable if the phone has such capabilities. Off the top of my head, the Blackberry Pearl 8120 is the only one I know that has WiFi enabled. The 8100 regular does not. Again, you would have to look at each phone specifically and see if it's capable. If these are phones 1year old or more, then chances are they are not. If they're not Tmobile specific phones, you would have to go to the provider's website and look it up. Even if they're not Tmobile phones, you can use WiFi. I have the Blackberry Curve and the internet isn't as FAST as the iPhone but it's still pretty fast. I don't have much waiting times, especially using WiFi. If you subscribe to the Hotspot thingy, you can use the WiFi pretty much in any Tmobile hotspot and the best part is if you make phone calls in those wifi areas, it's FREE. Yup. Doesn't count off your regular minutes plan. And yes it's a guarantee that you'll get wifi if you're subscribed, unless your router dies or something.

- T-Mobile phones with full QWERTY keyboards are the T-Mobile G1, the Samsung Gravity, various BlackBerry models, and the T-Mobile Dash and Wing. And the Sidekicks which you already know about! I think the G1 is best. It also has a touchscreen.
