- Q:I recently got a Motorola RAZR V3i. I got Mobile Phone Tools off the internet as well. When I hook my phone up to my computer via usb cable, MPT opens and there is a phone on my screen. But it doesn't recognize my phone. And no matter what format, the ringtones and pictures are in the wrong one. Can anyone help me?
- The cell-phone only works, when recognizing by the MPT. There can be more than one defect. Check the cable (possibly newinstallation). Check the battery of the phone ( must be full). Check the MPT installation. Check Ur steps to conect the phone.

- First of all, make sure you follow the phone's user's manual on how to insert a battery. If your phone is plugged into the wall, unless either a) that outlet is bad, b) the cord for your phone is bad, c) the battery is bad or was put in backwards, upside down or whatever, or d) some combo of a, b, and/or c, your phone should at least show something of a display. I think you need to use another phone and call the company's tech/customer support line and have them help you. I heard that a warranty can be voided if the phone is put in wrongly or something like. Anyway, hope this helps.

- You will have to pay a upgrade fee of $18.00. You should probably upgrade before att fully controls tmobile so you can get a cheeper plan.

- in phones most viruses use java scripts. pure browsing can't attack your phone. because new phones ask is it ok to download? if you only browsing then select no to that. don't download unknown games or apps from unknown web sites.

- I was wondering if you also could use a japanese mobile phone outside Japan? You need to be more specific. If he comes to Europe temporarily, and still has a contract with Japanese carrier, he must have a cell phone with global roaming service. If there is a global roaming service, he can. cuz it wouldn't fit with the kanji and such. It's not a matter of kanji. Japanese cell phones are designed to exchange emails, no matter if it's alphabets or kanji. Can the japanese guy that choose to sms him? It depends on which phone he's using. There is no single answer. The bottom line is, he can do it with some phones. is that person than able to see that email on his mobile phone AND on the computer? Usually, no. Email address of cell phone is usually different from that of computer. But you can forward it to your computer, as you know.

- You can buy any CDMA phone (Verizon, Sprint, Metro, Boost) and flash it for Metro PCS service. You cannot buy GSM phones (ATT or T-Mobile) since these are built on a different technology. Caution, regular flash will allow you to use phone for talk and text. However, if you want to use data services such web or email you will need to fully flash the phone.
